1. Reason for choosing the topic
INTRODUCTION
A strong people makes a prosperous country. It can be said that the importance of physical exercise is to give each individual a healthy, clear-headed body, train their will and determination, and enhance community cohesion. At the national level, physical exercise and sports activities help strengthen national pride, people's unity, and promote progress.
In the sports development strategy of each country, the work of building and promoting the development of high-performance sports is always the top concern of relevant departments and organizations, the core of which is the care and development of teams of each sport.
Considered the cellular unit of high-performance sports, each sports team is a tightly organized collective, in which athletes live and practice together to achieve the highest performance. Also from that collective, common psychological phenomena such as collective consciousness, collective public opinion, collective will, contagion, imitation, psychological atmosphere... arise. Paying attention to studying these factors, especially psychological atmosphere, determining the current situation, strengths, weaknesses... helps contribute to improving the mental life of athletes, supporting the improvement of sports performance.
Currently in Vietnam, studies on collective psychological atmosphere have been conducted in many different environments such as universities, companies, production facilities, etc. However, the psychological atmosphere of sports teams is still an issue that has not received much attention, while this is an important factor affecting relationships as well as the entire training and competition process of team members, having a certain influence on the performance of athletes.
What kind of psychological atmosphere do athletes practice and live in? What factors influence that atmosphere? How does the psychological atmosphere influence the activities of each athlete?... are the concerns of the researcher.
For the above reasons, the topic " PSYCHOLOGICAL ATMOSPHERE OF SOME SPORTS TEAMS IN HO CHI MINH CITY" was conducted.
