PREAMBLE

1. Reason for choosing the topic

Career guidance and job counseling activities help learners gain more information, knowledge of career choices, directions that match their interests, personal capacity, social development trends and get a suitable job. suitable for post-graduation training. In the vocational training development strategy for the period 2011-2020, the issue of career guidance is concerned and valued: “Strengthening counseling, career guidance and job placement for students and students in vocational schools”. At the same time orienting the development of activities “Consulting, career guidance and job introduction for students in vocational schools”. Clause 4 – Article 6 of the Law on Vocational Education stipulates: “The State shall adopt a policy of classifying students graduating from lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools and vocational education in accordance with each stage of economic development. – society”. Career guidance and job counseling is one of the main activities of students’ work at higher education institutions and colleges. A training program will be successful when career guidance and job counselors help learners shape their chosen profession, increase their chances of accessing the world of work, and get a job. do appropriate training level after graduation. Therefore, this activity plays an extremely important role, as an area of work that contributes to improving training efficiency, contributing to enhancing the brand name of a University, College and Vocational School.

For the College of Statistics, career guidance and job counseling for students in recent years have had a positive change in quantity and quality. However, there are still some shortcomings because this work has not been properly appreciated from awareness to action, there are still many shortcomings, not really aware of the importance of this work for the sustainable development of Vietnam. The school, especially when the Law on Vocational Education and Training orients training quickly from the supply direction to the demand direction of the labor market, requires the University to promote career guidance and job counseling activities for students to help students have the right career choice so that after graduation, they can apply the knowledge they have learned in real work.
