Chapter 3 Conclusion

Based on the analysis and evaluation of community tourism activities in Bac Son district in Chapter 2. Chapter 3 has provided orientations for community tourism development in Bac Son district with tourism development perspectives for the period 2020 - 2025 and the following years.

In addition to the development orientations of each stage, Chapter 3 also provides solutions related to policies, organization, and participating households... to overcome the weaknesses in Chapter 2, contributing to the development of tourism in Bac Son district more effectively and sustainably.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

I. CONCLUSION

Through the process of researching and developing the Thesis on Solutions for Developing Community Tourism in Bac Son District, Lang Son Province, we can draw some basic conclusions as follows:

1. Bac Son is a district located in the southwest of Lang Son province, with convenient connections to other tourist destinations in the province and other provinces in the Northeast sub-region, especially Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Cao Bang. Therefore, Bac Son has a favorable location for tourism development linkage.

2. Bac Son has attractive tourism potential with captivating beauty thanks to its valley system, pristine natural values, majestic mountains and forests, mysterious cave systems worth exploring, diverse and unique culture and traditions of ethnic communities as well as a valuable system of revolutionary historical relics.

3. Bac Son is one of the localities with an infrastructure system with a favorable foundation for tourism development. Although the quality of the transportation system has not really met the needs of tourism, this is a favorable premise for organizing tourism routes and tourism programs in the district.

4. The master plan for tourism development in Lang Son province for the period 2010-2020 and vision to 2030 approved by the Provincial People's Committee is an important legal basis for Bac Son district to implement tourism development management according to the plan and achieve certain results. However, Bac Son tourism is at a low starting point, so there are still many limitations and shortcomings, and the results achieved are not commensurate with the potential.

5. Lang Son tourism in general and Bac Son district in particular are entering a new development period in the integration trend with many intertwined opportunities and challenges requiring a long-term vision and breakthrough development steps.

II. RECOMMENDATIONS

In order for Bac Son tourism in general and community tourism in Bac Son in particular to develop strongly and sustainably, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the General Department of Tourism and relevant ministries and branches do the following:

- Add Bac Son to a provincial-level tourist area in the Master Plan for tourism development of Lang Son province.

- Prioritize capital from the investment budget to build and upgrade infrastructure connecting tourist areas and tourist attractions in the area, especially the sightseeing spots of Na Lay mountain area. Focus on investing in upgrading and expanding route 1B and route 243, DH 78 in the district.

- Focus on investing in upgrading connecting roads to Lan, caves and orange, tangerine and flower growing areas.

- Prioritize budget capital for Bac Son district to invest in renovating and protecting historical revolutionary relics, historical cultural relics, and scenic spots in the district; support training of tourism human resources for the district.

- Support promoting Bac Son destination in domestic and international markets.

- Support the organization of FAMTRIP programs for domestic and international travel businesses to survey Bac Son's tourist routes to include in the tourism program to attract tourists to Bac Son, creating conditions to turn Bac Son into a destination in inter-regional tourism programs.

- Relevant ministries and branches within their authority shall support and create favorable conditions in terms of capital and support policies for Bac Son in the process of investing in tourism development in accordance with the requirements of local socio-economic development.

- There is a mechanism to support the formation of some community tourism villages in Bac Son such as Quynh Son, Vu Lang, Tan Thanh, Chien Thang, etc. There is a policy to partially support capital for homestay business owners in building sanitary areas, investing in bedding, pillows, curtains, organizing training on knowledge and skills to provide services.

- Work with international organizations and non-governmental organizations to find funding sources for ecotourism and community tourism development projects in Bac Son.

- Support training of tourism human resources for Bac Son through training courses, knowledge improvement on-site and in cities and major urban centers across the country.
