Through a sociological survey of 186 tourists to Bac Son, the number of times, purposes, number of days of stay and form of trip organization of tourists to Bac Son are shown as follows:

Appendix 4: Number of tourists visiting Bac Son




Tourists coming to Bac Son for the first time accounted for the highest proportion with 54.3%, the second time was 41.4% and the third time only accounted for 4.3%, showing that the number of visitors returning for the third time was very small, mainly only coming for the first and second time. No visitor interviewed had come to Bac Son more than 3 times.

Appendix 5: Purpose of visitors' travel to Bac Son




The main purposes of tourists' trips are to rest (48.9%), sightsee (54.6%), learn about culture (56.2%), have fun (36.2%), and learn about revolutionary history (26.9%). The purposes answered least by tourists are Adventure sports (5.9%), Study (5.4%), Business (3.2%), and Find business opportunities (2.2%).

Appendix 6: Form of organizing a tour to Bac Son




Tourists coming to Bac Son mainly organize themselves (accounting for 77.4%), the number of tourists traveling on tours accounts for a low percentage (20.4%) and 2.2% of tourists choose to travel in other forms.

Appendix 7: Tourists' stay dates when arriving in Bac Son




59.1% of tourists when asked answered that they would stay in Bac Son for 2 days, followed by 24.2% who chose 3 days and only 15.6% who chose to stay for 1 day. Of these, the number of tourists who chose to stay for more than 3 days was very small, only 1.1%.

The majority of tourists surveyed chose Homestay (65.6%), followed by motels (33.3%), while the proportion of those who chose other options was very low. 89.8% of tourists visited Na Lay mountain peak, 65.1% of tourists visited Buckwheat flower garden, 87.6% of tourists visited the museum.

Bac Son Uprising Museum, 60.2% of tourists went to Tam Hoa Lake, 47.3% of tourists went to the Mandarin Garden, 65.1% went to revolutionary historical sites, 82.3% of tourists went to Quynh Son Community Cultural Village, 53.2% of tourists went to Pac Mo Ancient Village, 9.1% of tourists chose other answers. The quality of tourism services is evaluated as follows:

Appendix 8: Assessment of accommodation and catering service quality



The good rating for accommodation and catering services was 58.6% and 60.2% respectively. Other services were rated quite low, in particular 67.7% and 57.5% of tourists rated transportation and sightseeing services as average, 31.7% and 30.6% rated shopping and communication services as very poor, respectively, and for entertainment services, 32.8% of tourists rated very poor, 30.1% rated poor, and 34.4% rated average. Other supporting services were also rated very poor.
