Tourism development in Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province - Current status and orientation

The environment here is very sensitive, and if tourism develops, the negative impacts of water and solid waste will increase. It is important to note that the implementation of any tourism activity must be through a rigorous environmental impact assessment process, which not only helps support individual projects but also contributes to sustainability in all areas of Ninh Hoa town. Regulations and policies to strengthen environmental management in Ninh Hoa town also need to be put in place. Waste management planning for all planning areas of Ninh Hoa town is an urgent task at present.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province and the town should have a connection with travel agencies in the province, especially travel agencies of neighboring provinces, to deploy tourist routes in the province as well as in the town to make Ninh Hoa a tourist destination in tours to Nha Trang and Buon Ma Thuot. In addition, there should be a plan to support, propagate and promote tourism products of the province and the town.

- Recommendation to Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee

The town invests in infrastructure, especially transportation, electricity, water, and communications in key tourist areas and areas with great tourism potential of the town. Every year, the provincial budget is used to support investment preparation, as a basis for calling for investment capital for tourism development, and supporting the development of craft villages that produce products for tourism.

Restoring damaged and degraded historical and cultural relics in the town, historical and cultural relics are tourist attractions so they must be oriented towards the benefits that tourism brings. Ranked relics should be restored, protected, and strictly maintained to avoid restoration that would destroy the historical values of the relics. At the same time, thoroughly resolve the encroachment and violation of relics because no one is in charge.

Strengthen training of state officials on tourism management in agencies and departments of towns and communes related to tourism activities.

Career orientation, job creation for resettled households, ensuring a better life in the new place, only then will people support tourism activities.

+ Local people in the town who work in tourism often lack information about the desires and demands of tourists. Most of them have little understanding of tourism activities, markets and research of tourists. Therefore, there needs to be support for propaganda and education from local authorities, the town people's committee, the town cultural department... The town needs to soon have a plan and encourage and create conditions for local children to participate in specialized training courses in tourism and related fields; in order to train and develop human resources of the district to meet the current requirements of tourism and tourism development.

- For the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism of Ninh Hoa town

+ Regularly monitor and update information related to tourism activities of each tourist area in the town to have timely handling measures or assistance.

+ Further promote the role of a bridge between tourist areas and the District People's Committee, and the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism of the province. Regularly organize work with relevant departments of the town, organize meetings with investors to grasp the situation, discuss measures to remove difficulties and obstacles, and accelerate the development of tourism in the district.

+ Must prepare summary reports at least twice a year on the operation situation, number of visitors, revenue, outstanding products... of tourist areas to submit to the Town People's Committee, the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism of the province. In addition, it is necessary to develop action programs for each specific period to have preliminary summaries and directions for localities to implement.

+ Approach to explain and persuade local communities to create conditions for investment in tourism and eco-tourism development.

- For tourism businesses

It is necessary to invest in upgrading and modernizing accommodation facilities, creating unique tourism products, paying attention to environmental protection, and improving tourism human resources, thereby contributing to improving the quality of service for tourists.

- For local people

There needs to be coordination and support for movements to promote tourism development. There should be a friendly attitude towards tourists, in order to contribute to creating the closeness and hospitality that is essential for tourism activities.

CONCLUDE

Along with the development of socio-economic life, today our state has determined to "unify the management of tourism activities, ensure the development of cultural tourism, ecological tourism, preserve and promote the national cultural identity, and fine customs of Vietnamese relics" (Article 3 of the Tourism Ordinance). Tourism today plays an important role in people's lives and becomes a decisive factor for sustainable development.

Ninh Hoa is a locality with many advantages for tourism development, which is a diverse and rich tourism resource. There are many unique and special natural and human resources that attract tourists. It not only has tangible value but also intangible value. However, in recent years, tourism exploitation in the town has had many shortcomings, routes and tours have not been organized much, the content of exploitation is monotonous, so it has not attracted many tourists. Tourists only choose Ninh Hoa as a stopover when visiting Nha Trang. Therefore, the construction of tourist routes in the town is very necessary to exploit resources reasonably, at the same time contributing to improving the lives of local people, preserving indigenous culture.

In recent years, departments in the province and town have begun to pay attention to the issue of tourism development. The Department of Tourism and a number of agencies related to tourism have proposed solutions and master plans for tourism development. With the available potential, if there are timely and appropriate measures, in the near future, tourism in the town will certainly develop in accordance with its inherent potential. The town and province have not had synchronous solutions to build technical facilities and infrastructure, have not had solutions to develop tourism types such as there is no close connection between related departments, people in tourist areas and spots have not yet recognized the importance and significance of tourism activities, have not

There is a master plan for tourism development. On that basis, I have raised some basic theoretical issues of general nature on tourism development. By raising the potential and current status of tourism development in Ninh Hoa town, from there, I have proposed some solutions to contribute to the development of tourism in Ninh Hoa town in particular and tourism in Khanh Hoa province in general.
