Organize a conference on IT application in education at the provincial level and if there are enough resources, organize a conference to expand the Department of Education and Training accordingly.
Provide financial support and create favorable conditions for schools to promptly equip facilities, IT equipment, and copyrighted teaching software to meet the requirements of developing and implementing IT applications in teaching. In particular, it is necessary to issue preferential policies on facilities, IT equipment, and teaching staff for secondary schools in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas of the province.
- Every school year, the Department of Education and Training should also organize training courses for teachers to apply IT in teaching, inviting good experts to guide.
- Pay attention to encouraging and rewarding teachers and schools that achieve high results in teaching conferences and competitions on applying IT in teaching.
2.3. For the Department of Education and Training
- There should be regular instructions and specific requirements for secondary school teachers on the use of IT to report and discuss with leaders of the Department of Education and Training.
- Require secondary schools to regularly report on the number of teachers and quality of classroom teaching hours as well as support students in learning through IT applications.
- Build model teaching hours and set examples of secondary school teachers who effectively apply IT in teaching, for other teachers to learn from.
- Create legal framework conditions for schools to socialize teaching facilities and equipment to serve the application of IT in teaching.
2.4. For secondary schools and teachers
For school
- Propaganda and encourage teachers to use information technology and electronic lesson plans appropriately to raise teachers' awareness of the benefits of using information technology in teaching. Teachers must overcome difficulties in
materials to equip computers and identify this as a support tool for each teacher himself
- Regularly check, maintain, and promptly repair teaching equipment and provide timely support to teachers who are weak in IT.
For teachers.
- Don't be afraid of difficulties, gradually learn and improve your computer skills, design and use your own electronic lectures to help you practice many skills and grasp your design ideas, especially for young teachers.
- When designing an electronic lecture, it is necessary to prepare the script, materials, ... in advance and then start preparing the lecture. It is necessary to pay attention to the font, font color to ensure appropriate size, contrast and effects (simple, gentle effects to avoid distracting from the lecture content).
- The content of the electronic lecture needs to be concise and succinct; images and simulations need to be close to the topic (should not have many images or words), the content that students take notes on needs to have conventions (can use frames or background colors).
- Do not abuse information technology if it does not have a positive impact on the teaching and learning process and the development of learners.
- Learn how to use a variety of teaching software, invest in designing interactive activities (games, drag-and-drop activities, ...) to focus students' attention during class.
It can be said that in the development trend of the times, the application of IT in teaching is an objective necessity, opening up a new space to help teachers be more creative in teaching and bring students lively and close lessons. Information technology is the bridge between teachers and students. Therefore, exploiting the benefits that IT brings in the teaching process is one of the factors contributing to improving the quality of teaching.
