The author mentioned the changes in family models in China, Japan, India, Sub-Saharan Africa and Arab countries in the second half of the 20th century with changes in the political institutions of each country as well as changes in the region. Accordingly, the author surveyed and researched the process of industrialization and urbanization affecting all aspects of family life, changing the scale, structure, marital issues and relationships in the family... from there, proposing new family models suitable for each country and region.

Michael Anderson, Family structure in nineteeth century Lancashir , Cambridge University press [163]. The book deals with the impact of industrialization and urbanization on kinship relations among the working classes in 19th century Lancashir and why people should care more about and maintain kinship relations than about other people in their social life. The author presents household structure, residence patterns, population turnover in towns, migration patterns, poverty rates, the role of families in finding housing and employment for relatives. He also addresses age at marriage, parent-child conflict, and childcare when mothers go to work. He conducted a survey and compared specific situations in rural Lancashire before and during the Irish famine, and presented his findings on family transformation in this diverse cultural and historical context. He also asserted that the lives of Lancashire residents were best served by the help of relatives.

Jessie Bernard , The future of marriage, Yale University Press [162]. The book discusses marriage, gender, changes in marital behavior, attitudes, knowledge, and the gap between men and women in marriage. Jessie Bernard also predicts that today's couples are struggling to improve their marriage by working together, sharing child-rearing, and harmoniously combining family responsibilities with personal autonomy...

Janet Finch, Family obligations and social change , Cambridge: Polity Press [161]. The book discusses the nature of family life, especially the concepts of responsibilities, duties and obligations. The author examines the prevailing political debates in this area from a collection of research papers in the social sciences. She draws on a historical perspective, using empirical evidence from contemporary families, highlighting gaps in research on these topics. The whole discussion is set in the context of economic and social changes in the 20th century including social policy, social security provisions that have created external pressures on family life. The author argues that this affects the need for support and the capacity of family members to implement it.

The book discusses the transformation of the family, contemporary family issues and future family forecasts based on research on marriage, feminism, gender equality, etc. The authors have pointed out that the family is based on marriage but does not stop there, it also includes the relationship with generations in the family and clan. The modern scientific and technological revolution, globalization (TCH) and international integration have increasingly deep and wide impacts on the family, changing the structure and even the nature of many families in the world. Through research, the authors also predict that in the future there will be many different types of family models, notably homosexual families (breaking the nature and function of the family).
