The activities of educating the spirit of national unity and cultural identity for union members and young students of the Union and Student Association of the school are very diverse and rich in both content and organizational forms. Currently, the demand for volunteer participation of students is very large, while the activities have not yet met all of them. Therefore, it is necessary to expand volunteer activities in many fields, to all Student Union facilities. The problem is that the Youth Union and Association at all levels need to continue to innovate and upgrade their activities and movements, especially volunteer activities to expand, create conditions for students to participate actively and through that have the opportunity to practice and strive to become good 5 students. International volunteers come to Vietnam and send Vietnamese volunteers to other countries. This is a meaningful activity to educate students about integration. During the volunteering process, students will have the opportunity to exchange cultures, work together, live together, and work with international friends to practice language skills, teamwork skills, leadership skills, and discover community issues. The highlight of student volunteer activities is to promote them into movements, peak campaigns such as "summer volunteer campaign", "green summer", "winter volunteer", "spring volunteer" or peak activities to serve political events and social issues. Students participate in volunteer activities, both as a desire to contribute and as an experience, through which students will gradually practice and mature in personality.

When mentioning young students, everyone knows that this is a dynamic, creative and proactive force in the university education environment. Young students inherit many good values from previous generations, such as the tradition of passionate patriotism, diligence, heroism, creativity, optimism, compassion, and

4.2.3. Promote the proactive, positive and creative role of students in educating traditional cultural and spiritual values of the nation.

The basic characteristic of college and university education today is the shift from training to self-training, from education to self-education. Students must play a proactive, positive role, creating activities in their lives that are suitable to the psychological characteristics of their age, their own needs and the pace of life of the times. Through that, students are aware of their responsibility towards their family, school and society, they will grow up and overcome all challenges. Student movements will be sustainable and effective when they themselves are the subjects of self-management in their activities. This raises the requirement for profound innovation in the function of university administration. It is necessary to review the regulations and rules in the college and university education system to create for students the capacity for self-education, self-absorption of knowledge, self-training and enhancing their sense of responsibility for life.

Therefore, it is necessary to promote the proactive, positive and creative role of students in educating the spirit of TTDT to contribute to the formation and development of the personality of Vietnamese students - traditional and modern.

Firstly , raise awareness of self-study and practice to turn knowledge of traditional cultural and spiritual values into elements that make up students' personalities.

Students themselves are aware of this so as not to be pessimistic about the negative manifestations that society witnesses with many worries. Students' lives are being affected by an increasingly multidimensional and complex social environment, in which the development of individual needs is undeniable. This development will become rich and diverse in students' lives if it is respected, oriented and adjusted. In life, there must be self-struggle and self-affirmation between good and bad, good and evil, right and wrong in terms of lifestyle and personal ethics.

The process of self-training of students is also the process of training and building cultural character. When talking about building cultural character for students, it is necessary to clearly conceive that the educational direction must be to reach the unity in personality between the spiritual and cultural values of the national culture and the values of the culture of the times.
