1. Reason for choosing the topic.

INTRODUCTION.

In recent times, along with the development of the socio-economy, the achievements we have achieved such as: political stability, socio-economic development, national security and social order and safety are maintained ... the negative side of the market economy also has a great impact and negative influence on social life, which are the issues of crime and social evils. Especially the drug problem, which is very complicated, has been and is a burning issue for the whole society.

The economic consequences of drug abuse are enormous for individuals, families and society, and also lead to a series of other crimes against social order and safety as well as serious degradation of morality, personality and health of the offenders themselves. In this situation, our State has taken measures such as: adjusting, supplementing and amending a number of articles in the Penal Code; strengthening State management through legal documents and regulations; dealing with criminals with severe sentences; promoting education and propaganda on mass media ...

In recent years, we have discovered, investigated and handled many cases of drug trafficking. The law has dealt with criminals with severe sentences, among which, many have received the highest penalty of the penalty range, which is the death penalty.

However, the situation of drug trafficking crimes has not only not decreased but also tends to increase strongly, considering all aspects of: nature, level, methods, tricks as well as scale of criminal activities.

The question is: why do people buy and sell drugs even though they know it is illegal and will be severely punished by law? What makes people act so recklessly: moral standards, standards of

the law, even at the risk of his own life?

Activity psychology has shown that: any conscious human activity that takes place is driven by certain motives to satisfy one's activity needs, and the same goes for criminal activities such as drug trafficking.

Therefore, in our opinion, to answer the above question, we must study what motives have driven prisoners to commit crimes of drug trafficking? How are those motives formed, and how do they drive prisoners to commit crimes? Studying these issues will help us determine: the level of danger to society of the crime, the penalty framework, the aggravating and mitigating circumstances of criminal responsibility for the offender and predict the possibility of recidivism ... on that basis, propose appropriate solutions to contribute to improving the effectiveness of prevention and combating drug crimes in general and drug trafficking crimes in particular.

The issue of motivation is a fundamental, central issue in Psychology. This is a field that has been studied on many different levels, but there are still many different views, and it is always a topical issue in Psychology.

For the above reasons, I chose the research topic: Motivation for drug trafficking of prisoners at Z30-D camp under Department V26 - Ministry of Public Security, as my graduation thesis.

I myself determined that this is a topic suitable for my expertise and ability, and at the same time, I also found that it is extremely meaningful in both theory and practice for the teaching, learning and research of Criminal Psychology in Police schools, in the management, education and rehabilitation of prisoners, as well as contributing positively and effectively to the prevention and fight against all types of crimes, social evils in general, and drug crimes in particular in the current period.

2. Research purpose.

Research the process of forming criminal motives through analyzing the content and force aspects of the criminal motives for drug trafficking in prisoners. On that basis, propose proposals and recommendations to contribute to improving the effectiveness of the fight against, prevention and suppression of drug abuse in our country at the present stage.

3. Research subjects.

Several major motives drive drug trafficking by prisoners.

4. Research object .

300 prisoners convicted of drug trafficking are currently serving prison sentences and consulted with a number of prison officers, education - records officers, and reconnaissance officers.

5. Limitations and scope of research.

In this topic, we only focus on studying some motives associated with prominent needs and the choice of methods to satisfy those needs through analyzing the process of forming criminal behavior of prisoners who commit drug trafficking crimes at Z30D prison - Department V26 - Ministry of Public Security.

6. Research hypothesis.

There are many different motives that drive prisoners at Z30D prison to commit drug trafficking, of which the main motives are poverty and addiction.

7. Research tasks.

7.1. Theoretical research .

Study theoretical issues related to the topic as a theoretical basis for research.

7.2. Practical research .
