However, through chart 2.2, it can be seen that BIDV Tien Giang's profit is still increasing continuously, and its operating efficiency is currently leaking. This is a contribution of non-credit services, and this service segment will be increasingly focused on growth by BIDV Tien Giang to ensure the highest profit safety because credit activities have many potential risks. At the same time, focusing on developing non-credit services is consistent with one of the contents of restructuring the financial activities of credit institutions in the project "Restructuring the system of credit institutions in the period 2011-2015" approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 254/QD-TTg dated March 1, 2012 [14]: "Gradually shifting the business model of commercial banks towards reducing dependence on credit activities and increasing income from non-credit services".
2.2. Current status of non-credit service development at BIDV Tien Giang.
2.2.1. BIDV Tien Giang has deployed the development of non-credit services in recent times.
Along with the development of the Head Office, BIDV Tien Giang's products and services are constantly improved and deployed in a diverse manner to ensure provision for many different customer groups in the area: individual customers, corporate customers, and financial institutions. Typical services are as follows: Payment services, treasury services, guarantee services, card services, trade finance, other services: Western Union, insurance commissions, consulting services, foreign exchange derivatives trading, e-banking services,...
2.2.1.1. Payment services:
In accordance with the Prime Minister's Project to promote non-cash payments in Vietnam [15], banks in Tien Giang province have continuously developed payment services to reduce customers' cash usage habits through card services and electronic banking services such as: salary payment through accounts, focusing on developing card acceptance points, developing multi-purpose cards, paying social insurance by transfer, paying bills through banks, etc.

Along with the technological development of the entire system, BIDV Tien Giang has a payment system with a fairly stable transaction processing speed, bringing many conveniences to customers. The results of observing chart 2.3 show that the income from payment services that the Branch has achieved has grown over the years but the speed is not high and the products are not outstanding compared to other banks. Domestic payment products such as: Online bill payment, electricity bills, water bills, insurance premiums, cable TV bills, telecommunications fees, airline tickets, etc. bring many conveniences to customers. Regarding international payment, this is an indispensable activity for foreign economic activities, BIDV Tien Giang is providing international payment methods for small enterprises producing agriculture, aquatic food and seafood that have credit relationships with banks in industrial parks in Tien Giang province such as: money transfer, collection, L/C payment.
2.2.1.2. Treasury services:
BIDV Tien Giang always focuses on ensuring treasury safety and currency security, always complies with legal regulations, and minimizes risks in operations such as: counting and collecting money from customers, receiving and delivering internal transactions, collecting from the State Bank (SBV) or other credit institutions, receiving ATM funds, bundling money, etc. BIDV Tien Giang's treasury service management department is always fully equipped with modern machinery and equipment such as: money transport vehicles, fire prevention tools, money counters, money detectors, magnifying glasses, etc. to ensure absolute safety in treasury operations, immediately identifying real and fake money and other risks that may affect people and assets of the bank and customers. In addition, implementing regulation 2480/QC dated October 28, 2008 between the State Bank of Tien Giang province and the Provincial Police on coordination in the fight against counterfeit money, in the 3-year review of implementation, BIDV Tien Giang discovered, seized and submitted to the State Bank of Tien Giang province 475 banknotes of various denominations and was commended by the Provincial Police and the State Bank of Tien Giang province [17].

However, as shown in Figure 2.4, income from treasury operations is not high and fluctuates. Specifically, in the period 2011-2013, net income increased and increased most sharply in 2013, then in the period 2013-2015, there was a downward trend. This fluctuation is due to the fact that fees collected from treasury services are often very low and can even be waived to attract customers to use other services.
2.2.1.3. Guarantee and trade finance services:
BIDV Tien Giang, thanks to the advantages of the province and the favorable location of the Branch, has continuously focused on developing income from guarantee services and trade finance.

Through chart 2.5, we can see that BIDV Tien Giang's income from guarantee services and trade finance has grown over the years. The reason is: Among BIDV Tien Giang's corporate customers, the construction industry is the industry with the highest proportion of customers after the trading industry, this is a group of customers with potential to develop guarantee services. The second group of customers is corporate customers in the fields of agricultural production, livestock and seafood processing with high import and export turnover in the area.
are the target of trade finance development. In addition, BIDV Tien Giang also focuses on continuously developing these customer groups to increase revenue for many other products and services in the future.
2.2.1.4. Card and POS services:
As a service that BIDV Tien Giang has recently developed strongly, it can be said that this is a very potential market and has the ability to develop even more strongly in the future. Card services with outstanding advantages such as fast payment time, wide payment range, quite safe, effective and suitable for the integration trend and the Project to promote non-cash payments in Vietnam. Cards have become a modern and popular payment tool. BIDV Tien Giang early identified that developing card services is to expand the market to people in society, create capital mobilized from card-opened accounts, contribute to diversifying banking activities, enhance the image of the bank, bring the BIDV Tien Giang brand to people as quickly and easily as possible. BIDV Tien Giang is currently providing card types such as: credit cards (BIDV MasterCard Platinum, BIDV Visa Gold Precious, BIDV Visa Manchester United, BIDV Visa Classic), international debit cards (BIDV Ready Card, BIDV Manu Debit Card), domestic debit cards (BIDV Harmony Card, BIDV eTrans Card, BIDV Moving Card, BIDV-Lingo Co-branded Card, BIDV-Co.opmart Co-branded Card). These cards can be paid via POS/EDC or on the ATM system. In addition, with debit cards, customers can not only withdraw money via ATMs but also perform utilities such as mobile top-up, online payment, money transfer,... through electronic banking services.
In order to attract customers with card services, BIDV Tien Giang has continuously increased the installation of ATMs. As of December 31, 2015, BIDV Tien Giang has 23 ATMs combined with 7 ATMs in the same system of BIDV My Tho, so the number of ATMs is quite large, especially in the center of My Tho City, but is not yet fully present in the districts. Basic services on ATMs such as withdrawing money, checking balances, printing short statements,... BIDV ATMs accept cards from banks in the system.
Banknetvn and Smartlink, cards branded by international card organizations Union Pay (CUP), VISA, MasterCard and cards of banks in the Asian Payment Network. From here, cardholders can make bill payments for themselves or others at ATMs, by simply entering the subscriber number or customer code, booking code that service providers notify and make bill payments.

Through chart 2.6, it can be seen that BIDV Tien Giang's card service income is constantly growing because the Branch focuses on developing businesses operating in industrial parks, which are the source of customers for salary payment products, ATMs, BSMS. Specifically, there are companies such as Freeview, Quang Viet, Dai Thanh, which are businesses with a large number of card openings at the Branch, contributing to the increase in card service fees [25].

The number of POS machines of BIDV Tien Giang is very small, only higher than Dong A Tien Giang and BIDV My Tho in the initial stages of merging the BIDV system. Besides, BIDV Tien Giang has a high number of cards increasing over the years (table 2.7) but the cumulative number of cards issued up to December 31, 2015 is still relatively low compared to Agribank, Vietcombank, Dong A (table 2.6).

Comparison 2015/2014
Comparison 2016/2015
(Source: year-end summary report 2014-2016 Agribank Quang Trach Branch)
From the above data, we can see that in the 3 years from 2014 to 2016, domestic capital always accounted for a large and stable proportion and scale in the total capital. In 2014, domestic capital was 960,100 million VND, accounting for 97.06%; in 2015, it was 1,074,150 million VND, accounting for 97.9% and in 2016, it was 1,198,400 million VND, accounting for 98.35%. Meanwhile, foreign capital decreased over the years. In 2014, foreign capital was 29,000 million VND, accounting for 2.94% of the total capital, in 2015, it was 22,450 million VND, accounting for 2.1% and in 2016, it was 20,100 million VND, accounting for 1.4% of the total capital. The reason why foreign currency capital accounts for a small proportion is because the Branch is located in a district, where foreign currency exchange and trading activities are not yet popular. And the above results are consistent with the Branch's business orientation strategy of increasing the proportion of capital mobilized in VND in its total mobilized capital. However, although foreign currency capital accounts for a small proportion, it also plays an important role in the bank's international payment and service activities.
2.2.2.2 Capital structure by term
In terms of capital mobilization time, there are two types: non-term and term. The Bank's term forms are very diverse, meeting all the needs of depositors, including the following forms: term under 12 months, term over 12 months. The diverse terms have met all the purposes of depositors: depositing for profit, depositing for payment, depositing for safety... The Bank has created all favorable conditions for depositors and has been highly appreciated by customers, as shown through the mobilization results.

(Source: year-end summary report 2014-2016 Agribank Quang Trach Branch)
Table 2.3 shows that demand deposits account for a relatively small proportion of total mobilized capital, because demand deposits are not very stable because customers can deposit and withdraw at any time, the Bank is passive in using this capital source for lending investment activities. In 2014, this capital source was 104,950 million VND, accounting for 10.61%. In 2015, demand deposits increased by 30,370 million, equivalent to 28.93% compared to 2014, accounting for 12.34% of total capital. By 2016, this deposit source reached
145,900 million VND, accounting for 11.98% of the total capital, the growth rate compared to 2015 was 7.81%. This result is due to the fact that economic organizations and residents in the area deposit money at the Bank, in addition to the purpose of enjoying convenient payment and money transfer services, they also take advantage of depositing idle money in the Bank to avoid the situation of dead capital. Because people cannot calculate in advance the need for cash in the future, they deposit in non-term deposits so that they can withdraw immediately when needed. Therefore, this source of capital is always fluctuating and unstable, but in return, the cost for this source of capital is the lowest.
Term deposits account for the largest proportion of total mobilized capital. The proportion of term deposits under 12 months in 2014, 2015, 2016 is 55.44%; 55.61%; 53.41% respectively. The growth rate of term deposits under 12 months in 2015 compared to 2014 is 12.41% equivalent to 61,480 million VND, in 2016 compared to 2015 is 6.72% equivalent to 41,020 million VND. The reason for this slow growth may be due to businesses. For example, businesses always have idle money for a short period of time (day, week): wages, salaries that have not yet been paid, money for purchasing raw materials that have not yet been paid... Businesses really want to make a profit on this idle money in a short period of time, but the Bank stipulates a minimum deposit term of 1 month, so businesses do not want to deposit. This is a source of capital that the Bank should take advantage of by diversifying shorter deposit terms such as 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks with flexible interest rates. The proportion of term deposits over 12 months in 2014 was 33.95% in 2015 was 32.05% and in 2016 was 34.61%. The growth rate of term deposits over 12 months in 2015 compared to 2014 was 4.67%, in 2016 compared to 2015 was 20%. This source of capital is stable, customers deposit money in the Bank with the purpose of earning interest and only withdraw it when due. This helps the Bank to be more proactive in using capital for lending, increasing capital efficiency, but the disadvantage of this source of capital is the high interest cost.

Deposits of economic organizations: This is the source of mobilized capital with the lowest cost, directly affecting the business activities of the branch. Deposits of economic organizations are the temporarily idle currency that has not been used in the production and business process of the enterprise, deposited in the Bank not for the main purpose of earning interest, but mainly used for the purpose of payment for money transfer to buy and sell goods.
In 2014, mobilized capital was 110,750 million VND, accounting for 11.19% of total capital.
% of total capital. In 2015, it increased by 13,970 million (up 12.6%) compared to 2014. By 2016, mobilized capital reached 127,540, up 2,820 million (up 2.3%) compared to 2015. We see that the proportion of this type of mobilization is quite small, the reason is that Agribank Quang Trach District Branch since its establishment until now, although in the process of operation has gradually approached modern technology, it has only stopped at the same level as other branches in the same system, so the advantage of technology is not yet considered a competitive factor.
The results of mobilization from economic organizations are not high compared to the potential of the Bank, so in the present as well as in the future, Agribank Quang Trach District Branch needs to continue to promote measures to exploit this capital source to achieve better efficiency such as account opening procedures need to be simple and quick to facilitate customers, along with the advantages of accuracy and safety of payment through the Bank will attract more economic units to the branch.
Deposits mobilized from residents: This is a traditional form of capital mobilization of Agribank Quang Trach District Branch, familiar to local residents. In recent times, the branch has applied many measures to exploit capital in a stable and profitable way for business. Mobilization from residents always accounts for a high proportion, over 80%. Specifically, in 2014, it reached 878,350 million VND, accounting for 88.81% of the total mobilized capital, by 2015, the mobilized capital from residents was 971,880 million VND, accounting for 88.63% of the total mobilized capital in the year. This number continues to increase, up to 1,090,960 million VND by the end of 2016, an increase of
119,080 million (up 12.25%) compared to 2015. The balance of savings accounts from residents increased over the years, proving that the branch has made efforts in capital mobilization work.
It can be said that this is an important source of capital not only for the Bank but also for the economic development of the province. However, the amount of savings deposits at Agribank Quang Trach District Branch is still low compared to the local population. The reason is that customers are still hesitant when transacting with the Bank, most of them are still confused about the procedures, so the Bank staff need to help and guide them to transact with the Bank in a convenient and easy-to-understand way. Moreover, non-state joint stock commercial banks and other commercial banks in the area often increase high savings interest rates, and have more diverse and attractive forms of capital mobilization, which have attracted some capital from the population.

The capital market share of Agribank Quang Trach District Branch, Bac Quang Binh in the period of 2014-2016 accounted for the largest proportion of the market share in Quang Trach District. Specifically, in 2014 it was 42.02%, in 2015 it was 40.87%, the capital market share in 2015 decreased due to the appearance of Vietinbank Quang Trach Branch in the area, but in 2016 the capital market share increased again, accounting for 42.08% of the total mobilized capital in the district. In short, in the past 3 years, the market share of Agribank Quang Trach District Branch has always ranked first in the total mobilized capital of the whole district. This shows that Agribank Quang Trach District Branch has gained the trust of customers in capital mobilization activities. In addition, the opening of mobile transaction points in the past time has helped the bank collect deposits from customers in remote and difficult-to-travel areas.

However, through chart 2.2, it can be seen that BIDV Tien Giangs profit is still increasing continuously, and its operating efficiency is currently leaking. This is a contribution of non-credit services, and this service segment will be increasingly focused on growth by BIDV Tien Giang to ensure the highest profit safety because credit activities have many potential risks. At the same time, focusing on developing non-credit services is consistent with one of the contents of restructuring the financial activities of credit institutions in the project Restructuring the system of credit institutions in the period 2011-2015 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 254/QD-TTg dated March 1, 2012 [14]: Gradually shifting the business model of commercial banks towards reducing dependence on credit activities and increasing income from non-credit services.
2.2. Current status of non-credit service development at BIDV Tien Giang.
2.2.1. BIDV Tien Giang has deployed the development of non-credit services in recent times.
Along with the development of the Head Office, BIDV Tien Giangs products and services are constantly improved and deployed in a diverse manner to ensure provision for many different customer groups in the area: individual customers, corporate customers, and financial institutions. Typical services are as follows: Payment services, treasury services, guarantee services, card services, trade finance, other services: Western Union, insurance commissions, consulting services, foreign exchange derivatives trading, e-banking services,...
2.2.1.1. Payment services:
In accordance with the Prime Ministers Project to promote non-cash payments in Vietnam [15], banks in Tien Giang province have continuously developed payment services to reduce customers cash usage habits through card services and electronic banking services such as: salary payment through accounts, focusing on developing card acceptance points, developing multi-purpose cards, paying social insurance by transfer, paying bills through banks, etc.

BIDV Tien Giangs treasury service management department is always fully equipped with modern machinery and equipment such as: money transport vehicles, fire prevention tools, money counters, money detectors, magnifying glasses, etc. to ensure absolute safety in treasury operations, immediately identifying real and fake money and other risks that may affect people and assets of the bank and customers.

Through chart 2.5, we can see that BIDV Tien Giangs income from guarantee services and trade finance has grown over the years. The reason is: Among BIDV Tien Giangs corporate customers, the construction industry is the industry with the highest proportion of customers after the trading industry, this is a group of customers with potential to develop guarantee services.

Through chart 2.6, it can be seen that BIDV Tien Giangs card service income is constantly growing because the Branch focuses on developing businesses operating in industrial parks, which are the source of customers for salary payment products, ATMs, BSMS.
