Some Factors Affecting Intervention Effectiveness

2. Some factors affecting intervention effectiveness

- Lack of medical staff and equipment, especially medical staff at the grassroots level (commune and district health) is one of the factors that greatly affects the effectiveness of interventions.

- Low use of grassroots services (commune health stations and district hospitals), especially in remote mountainous areas, is also a factor affecting intervention effectiveness.

- The monitoring and supervision of intervention activities is not really synchronized, affecting the effectiveness of the intervention. The main reason for the lack of synchronized monitoring is the lack of human resources and the lack of adequate monitoring indicators.

Some Factors Affecting Intervention Effectiveness

Although the effectiveness of the safe motherhood intervention program has been demonstrated, recommendations are still needed to further improve the effectiveness of the intervention:

- Strengthen human resources for grassroots health care (commune health stations and obstetrics and pediatrics departments of district hospitals), especially in remote mountainous communes and districts to meet the needs of providing LMAT services to people.

- Strengthen specialized training in obstetric emergency and neonatal emergency for grassroots health care.

- Provide some necessary equipment, especially emergency obstetric and neonatal equipment. Should focus on training and providing medical equipment for remote areas but need to be suitable to the local situation.

- Strengthen the monitoring of LMAT activities, especially at commune and district levels.

- It is necessary to focus on strengthening communication work to change behavior for women of childbearing age in all aspects. Communication materials should include ethnic languages, with more appropriate and diverse forms of communication for remote areas.
