Or like NTH – orphaned at a young age, her parents passed away in a tragic accident. She said, “ Normally it’s fine, but when they know I’m an orphan, they look at me with very different eyes, some even show their attitude openly. Even when applying for a job, many places when looking at my resume, knowing I’m an orphan, they don’t want to hire me anymore, at times like that I feel guilty and sad.”
Inferiority complex and self-esteem are inevitable in children, but do not let that inferiority complex and self-esteem turn them into bad people, they need sympathy, sharing, and help from the community and society. Otherwise, they will easily fall, easily be drawn into social evils. This is a problem for the whole society, especially social workers must have a plan to help children, help them overcome their fate, and become useful people for society.
She also understands more clearly that: Orphans have limitations in their education and career. Specifically, the reality is:
The children here live in a healthy environment and develop their personalities comprehensively. However, compared to children outside, their educational level and vocational skills are limited and do not meet the requirements of the job. When they are still in the village, although they finish high school, they still have the right to take the university entrance exam, but during their studies, they can only study in class, and they are not allowed to take extra classes. The village also stipulates that they can only take the university entrance exam that year. If they fail, they must learn a trade and cannot study for the exam again.

Moreover, each family has 7-8 children, so the mother's care and attention cannot cover all of them. The children themselves are orphans, so their learning process is also affected and influenced, leading to low learning results.

The same is true in vocational training, the main occupations that students learn are carpentry and civil electricity. Regarding the teaching staff, they are mainly village cadres who teach directly, these people may have experience but do not have specialized knowledge. For these reasons, the low level of education and low skills lead to many difficulties when they go to work, not meeting the requirements of the job and the employer.
In addition, because they spend a lot of time living in the village, they have little contact with life outside, and little access to mass media channels, so their knowledge about society is not much. When they step out into society, they always feel a lack of confidence in communication and an inferiority complex about their education level and professional skills.
- Comment:
During the research process, we found that before the training, due to lack of formal training, Ms. MTT's social work skills were still very limited, especially the skills of guiding children to reintegrate into the community. However, after the training course, with a spirit of diligent learning attitude, combined with enthusiasm, full awareness of the value of the profession, and love for the profession, she was able to make rapid progress and achieve social work skills with orphans, although she only reached an average level in professional activities.
Conclusion of research on some typical portraits
Most social workers are people who love social work, have many years of experience, and are old, but have not received formal training, so most of them lack social work skills.
After active training, the level of implementation of social work skills with orphans by social workers has improved significantly: the majority of social workers achieved a good level, no social workers performed at a weak level, the rate of social workers
The implementation of CTXHCN skills with orphans at the average level decreased significantly.
Thus, through the organization of training courses, social workers can improve their understanding of the content, purpose, and methods of implementing skills and perform more fully, accurately, proficiently, and flexibly the operations or expressions of social work skills with orphans.

From the results of theoretical and practical research on social work skills with orphans of social workers, we draw the following conclusions:
Based on research and theoretical analysis of skills and individual social work skills with orphans, we consider that individual social work skills with orphans of social workers are the application of experience and knowledge of professional social work in organizing activities to help children recover or enhance their social functions such as establishing relationships with children, sharing emotions, advocating and guiding children to reintegrate into the community effectively. The topic of determining individual social work skills with orphans of social workers includes the following component skills: relationship establishment skills, emotional sharing skills, advocacy skills, and skills to guide orphans to reintegrate into the community.

- Most of the social workers studied have average skills in individual social work with orphans. In general, social workers at the social protection centers studied perform relationship-building skills, emotional sharing skills, advocacy skills, and skills in guiding orphans to reintegrate into the community fully but not proficiently and flexibly. Only a few social workers perform fully, accurately, and relatively proficiently and flexibly in individual social work skills with orphans.
- There are differences in individual social work skills with orphans of social workers in different social protection centers; among social workers with different seniority and ages.
- The researcher's assessment results are relatively consistent with the social worker's self-assessment of individual social work skills with orphans.
- The main reason for this situation is that social workers have not received basic and systematic training in individual social work skills with orphans, especially knowledge about the psychological characteristics of adolescent orphans and skills in establishing relationships, skills in sharing emotions, skills in advocacy, skills in guiding orphans to reintegrate into the community, leading to a certain lack of knowledge and skills in individual social work in general, and individual social work skills with orphans in particular.

- The results of analyzing some psychological portraits of social workers at social protection centers have clarified the manifestations of individual social work skills with orphans and provided more practical information to confirm the research results.
With the above research results, we can confirm that the research results are consistent with the hypothesis stated in the thesis and the tasks of the topic have been solved.
2. PROPOSAL
2.1. For social workers at social protection centers
- It is necessary to clearly understand the tasks and values of the profession in order to motivate oneself in seeking information, self-training, and improving professional qualifications to help orphans more and more.
more effectively, affirming the role and position of social workers in the Social Protection Center.
- Have passion, love for work and be willing to participate in career development activities.
2.2. For agencies employing social workers
- Individual social work is one of the measures in the assistance activities used by social workers to help people in difficult circumstances, so the recruitment and use of these professional staff as well as the training and coaching to improve the capacity of individual social work skills for social workers need to be given due attention.
- First, it is necessary to prioritize the recruitment and use of people who have been properly trained or equipped with knowledge for job positions that require the task of assisting children.
- Second, it is necessary to create conditions for social workers to study and improve their personal social work skills for social workers at social protection centers who are undertaking this work, paying special attention to retraining those who have been trained in fields such as education, psychology and social workers who have practical experience to save time in the training process.
2.3. For training institutions.
- Colleges and universities that train in social work need to research and draft a program to train personal social work skills based on reference to training programs of colleges and universities around the world to ensure a quality, professional and complete training and development program.
- Training program content: Priority should be given to the content of the skills section, especially focusing on relationship building skills, emotional sharing skills, advocacy skills, and skills to guide children to reintegrate into the community.
In addition, it is also important to note that the content on human behavior is the foundation for understanding the psychology of the subject. Personal social work skills always go hand in hand with professional attitudes, so the program needs to contain these contents. However, it is also necessary to note the flexibility of the program to suit the differences in background knowledge between social workers.
2.4. For State management agencies
- It is necessary to issue clear and appropriate policies for social workers working with orphans in social protection centers. Especially policies and incentives regarding time and financial support for participating in training, attending professional skills training courses in general and individual social work skills with orphans in particular.
- There needs to be a team of professional supervisors for social workers in social protection centers to be able to assess and provide professional support to help social workers develop personal social work skills.
