Chapter 3 Summary

The research results in chapter 3 show that it is necessary to carry out the following synchronous measures:

Measure 1: Strengthen principal management of environmental education activities for students of high schools in Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province.

Measure 2: Directing the development of environmental education content and innovating environmental education methods for students.

Measure 3: Directing to ensure conditions to support environmental education activities for students.

Measure 4: Direct and coordinate educational forces inside and outside the school to participate in environmental education activities for students.

The survey results of the measures show that the above measures are very necessary and very feasible, and can be applied to the actual situation of high schools in Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS


1. Conclusion

The thesis has built a theoretical framework for managing environmental education activities for students in high schools, clarifying the theory of management, environment, environmental education activities; objectives, content, methods and forms of environmental education. In managing environmental education activities for students in high schools, it is reflected in planning, organizing, directing implementation and checking and evaluating the implementation of environmental education activities.

From the theoretical framework of environmental education activities for students in high schools, we analyzed and evaluated the current status of environmental education activities: the current status of awareness of training objectives; the current status of results of environmental education content; the current status of training methods and forms...

Management of environmental education activities for students in high schools such as the current status of planning; organizing the implementation of plans; directing the implementation of plans and checking and evaluating plans for implementing environmental education activities, identifying factors affecting the management of environmental education activities for students in high schools in Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province shows that: High school managers still take lightly the planning of general environmental education for the whole school year, the plan has not been implemented to draw lessons from the implementation of environmental education activities for students, evaluate the results achieved, the limitations that need to be overcome and the causes of the limitations , the Principal implements decentralization to develop plans to organize environmental education activities at the Block levels...

The results of the current survey show that, in addition to the achieved results, there are still some limitations. Based on that, we propose the following measures: (1) Strengthen the principal's management of environmental education activities for students of high schools in Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province; (2) Direct the development of environmental education content and innovate environmental education methods.

2. Recommendations

- For the Department of Education and Training:

Pay more attention to and closely direct environmental education work in localities throughout the province. Direct the Departments of Education to have specific plans for environmental education in each school year and each stage suitable to the local situation.

Advise the Party Committee, local authorities and closely coordinate with relevant departments and branches in implementing training activities (mechanisms, financial policies, recruitment, appointment, writing local documents, etc.).

Strengthen the organization of seminars and study tours to learn from experiences in fostering capacity for organizing environmental education activities in a multicultural environment.

Strengthen facilities, equipment, documents and funding for environmental education activities.

- For high schools in Pho Yen town:

The managers of Ly Nam De High School, Pho Yen High School, and Bac Son High School need to increase investment in purchasing equipment for teaching activities. During a school year, it is necessary to organize many training activities for the teaching staff of the school under their management in many different forms.

Management staff of Ly Nam De, Le Hong Phong, Pho Yen, and Bac Son high schools need to mobilize and effectively use resources for teacher training and development. Create a good environment for teachers to fully develop their capacity in organizing environmental education activities.

Management staff of Ly Nam De, Le Hong Phong, Pho Yen, and Bac Son high schools have done a good job of propagating and mobilizing the self-study and self-improvement movement of teachers;

Continue to reward materially and spiritually teachers who strive to improve in training and development.

Managers, teachers, mass organizations, and parents of students at Ly Nam De, Le Hong Phong, Pho Yen, and Bac Son high schools need to have full awareness of the role and importance of environmental education. Close and synchronous coordination between schools, families, and communities to; do better environmental education work, contributing to comprehensive education of students.

Every year, the managers of Ly Nam De, Le Hong Phong, Pho Yen, and Bac Son high schools need to organize on-site training sessions to improve the capacity of organizing environmental education for teachers. School principals need to coordinate with agencies, organizations, and local society to mobilize forces to participate in and organize environmental education facilities. Strengthen the direction, inspection, and evaluation of environmental education work.

- With the team of teachers of high schools in Pho Yen town:

Raise awareness and responsibility of individuals for training, fostering to improve qualifications, capacity and qualities, worthy of being a shining example for students to follow. Conduct self-testing and assessment to improve.

Improve the quality of self-study and self-improvement activities in the spirit of promoting internal strength and affirming self-study to improve the capacity to organize environmental education activities.

In environmental education activities, teachers, in addition to using traditional teaching methods, need to apply active teaching methods, orienting learners to practical environmental education activities, especially methods specific to environmental education so that students can perceive the importance of environmental issues, thereby having the right attitude and behavior, and being responsible for the environment.

Organizing diverse forms of environmental education for students and teachers needs to consider the environment as a place and a means for teaching, learning, and research, helping teachers and students to be interested and have high learning efficiency.

Organize activities and learning outside of school such as field trips, camping, labor... and coordinate with local forces to organize environmental protection movements, response activities, and environmental protection propaganda in the community.
