2.2.5. Pedagogical experimental method:

The pedagogical experimental method is used to evaluate the effectiveness of selected exercises in the process of research and professional physical training in improving the training and competition performance of female Taekwondo athletes aged 12-14 in Ho Chi Minh City, affirming that the selection and arrangement of them are accurate, scientific and highly effective.

The pedagogical experiment was organized using the sequential comparison method, conducted during a training cycle of one year and divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 was from February 15 to April 7, 2016; Phase 2 was from April 7 to August 18, 2016. After each phase, there were tests, assessments, and comparisons between the subjects. From there, conclusions were drawn about effective exercise plans to develop the professional physical strength of female Taekwondo athletes aged 12-14 in Ho Chi Minh City.

2.2.6. Biomechanical analysis method:

2.2.6.1 Video graphic monitoring method (3D Simi Motion system) : This is a method of measuring parameters in movement by recording and analyzing Videographic images certified by the PMG Institute (Institute for testing and confirming the accuracy of medical research equipment of Gaz). The movement parameters that can be obtained are time, speed, acceleration, angle of movement... Thanks to recording with digital cameras and applying specialized software, we can analyze the movement of athletes in 3D space using the 3D Simi Motion system.

Features of Simi Motion 3D motion analysis system:

Simi-motion 3D software is used to: mark joints on the body (with automatic accuracy reporting) and save points on the frame; automatically measure technical parameters at each specific moment during the movement process; create a 3D space environment on the computer and demonstrate the athlete's movements in 3D space; automatically give us technical parameters at each specific moment and of each body part according to the x-axis (vertical), y-axis (horizontal) and z-axis (depth).

Test rotation and calibration process:

Videographic recording method is used in the thesis to analyze the kicking technique of female Taekwondo athletes aged 12-14 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Use 4 digital cameras to record synchronously at the same time (automatically synchronize to start recording). Recording speed is 200 frames/second (high speed). In case these types of cameras are not available, they can also be replaced with 50 frames/second digital cameras, but must synchronize to start recording.

How to place 4 cameras as follows: 4 cameras are placed at 4 corners of the Taekwondo mat (size 8m x 8m). All 4 cameras must be able to observe all activities of the athletes on the mat. The cameras must be fixed during the entire recording process. (Figure 2.1)

Figure 2.1: Filming area and camera position

Before recording the athlete performing the movement, it is necessary to record the reference object (standard) according to the coordinates x, y, z and the distance between the coordinate points. The reference object is placed in the center of the competition mat, requiring all 4 cameras to see all points on the reference object (the coordinate points on the reference object are marked for easy identification). This is the basic reference object to be used as a basis for extrapolating coordinates, speed, acceleration, length... in the technical analysis of the athlete through specialized software that has been recognized by Simi Reality Motion System GmbH and transferred to the Institute of Sports Science.

Before filming, Taekwondo athletes need to record the recording diary: time, location, competition name, athlete's full name, gender, height, weight, highest achievement;

After recording is finished, all images need to be transferred to the server for storage.

Method of analyzing results:

Analysis of the attacking techniques of 12-14 year old female Taekwondo athletes in Ho Chi Minh City using Video graphic method was conducted in 4 steps:

Step 1: Transfer image data (from tape or from computer storage) into the 3D Simi Motion software system) in this step, the following operations need to be performed:

Review the image of the standard object (Figure 2.2) and use the movie editing software in the Simi Motion system to check the 3D coordinate system on the computer (Figure 2.3).

Figure 2.2: 3D reference object

Figure 2.3: 3D coordinate system on computer

In this experiment, the thesis uses a 3D reference object in the form of a cube (3D reference objects can be used in many other forms, as shown above). For each type of 3D reference object, the manufacturer has pre-calculated the x, y and z coordinates for each point in the movement. In other words, the length (m) in the 3D movement can be calculated using the reference object.

Next, use the modeling software included in the Simi Motion system to put the basic images into analysis. In this experiment, we only analyze the basic attack techniques, which are the front leg roundhouse kick and front leg split kick, analyzing from the starting position of the attack until returning to the original position.

Step 2: Mark the points (centers of the joints) on the body to be observed:

The points (centers of joints) on the body that need to be marked include:

Head

Left knee joint

Right wrist

Left shoulder joint

Left ankle joint

Right hand joint

Left elbow joint

Left foot tip

Right hip joint

In addition, 17 points are marked on the body. However, the number of points to mark depends on the technical analysis requirements and depends on the specific movement. When using Simi Motion software to mark the joints, if the marking is accurate, the software signal will notify.

Step 3: Determine Taekwondo technical parameters using Simi Motion software

In general, after marking the points on the body, based on the requirements to calculate the technical parameters, choose the appropriate time on the frame. Then give the technical analysis requirements, the computer will automatically calculate and give the results.

Parameters included in the study to evaluate the professional physical fitness of female Taekwondo athletes aged 12-14 in Ho Chi Minh City include:

Highest instantaneous velocity at the moment of attack: V(m/s); Angular velocity: V angle (o/s)

Joint angles at time V: Max angle (degrees)
