In addition, because students have to participate in many social activities such as music and cultural and artistic programs, participating in sports activities will take a lot of time. In addition, studying and taking exams for compulsory courses of Physical Education in school has also caused students to feel afraid, so extracurricular sports activities are no longer interesting to students.

At the same time, it also reflects the limitations of organizing, building content, form and facilities for extracurricular sports activities, not paying attention to the psychological characteristics of students, to the specific profession of students, so there are no measures to increase students' interest in participating in activities.

Therefore, during the teaching process, lecturers need to focus on raising students' awareness of participating in physical training, fostering students' interest and habits in extracurricular physical training. From the results of the current situation and needs of students in extracurricular physical training, we continue to study students' motivation to practice. The results are presented in Table 3.7.

Through table 3.7., it can be seen that students of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism have diverse motivations to participate in sports training:


28.04% of students want to participate in sports activities to exchange and expand relationships;

24.33% of students want to practice sports to take final exams; 18.56% of students want to practice sports to improve their overall physical fitness.

16.70% of students want to practice sports to have a nice body; the rest want to practice sports because they love sports (12.37%).

The above reality shows that the motivation of students clearly reflects the characteristics of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Students want to use sports activities to exchange and make friends, and most female students are afraid of sports and physical activities, so students practice to take final exams. This is a unique feature of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to propaganda, mobilization and education to raise awareness of the value of sports training for health and physical fitness, foster spiritual qualities, and train willpower to meet the increasing needs of society.

3.1.3.2. Current status of factors affecting the effectiveness of Physical Education work for students at Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The effectiveness of education depends on many factors such as the team of teachers and administrators, examinations and admissions, curriculum and textbooks, facilities and teaching equipment, the attention of party committees and authorities at all levels, organizations and socialization of education, parents of students... Moreover, the effectiveness of education depends not only on the above factors but also on the subjects of education, which are students, and most importantly, it must be said that the students' active self-awareness and learning awareness. If the learner has a good awareness during the learning process, always strives in all circumstances, is diligent and eager to learn, has the will and determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges, absorbs and distills the knowledge that teachers have imparted, then the effectiveness


Education will be very high, often having a decisive meaning on learning outcomes without the need for other measures.

With that in mind, to obtain authentic information, the topic conducts research on relevant documents, books, and professional newspapers and proposes the following factors affecting the effectiveness of GDTC work:

Awareness of the position and role of physical education among school administrators, teachers and students.

Facilities, playgrounds and equipment for physical education. Quality and quantity of physical education teachers.

Regimes and policies for those working in physical education in schools.

Improve the content, curriculum and teaching methods of subjects. Scientific research work serving physical education.

Extracurricular sports guidance for students.

Parents' investment in physical development. Funding for sports training and competition activities.

Student learning awareness...

To determine the main factors affecting the effectiveness of physical education in Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the topic conducted interviews with teachers directly teaching physical education, faculty and school management staff, through the levels of influencing factors. The interviews were conducted at 3 levels:

Very important. Important.

Not important.

The topic will select factors that achieve 50% or more of the responses at a very important level to continue research.

The total number of ballots issued was 20, the total number of ballots received was 20. The interview results are presented in Table 3.8.

Awareness of the position and role of physical education among managers, teachers and students. Improvement and revision of the content and curriculum of physical education, opinions agreeing to choose account for 98.3%, opinions agreeing to choose account for 98.3

%. Learning awareness, student attitude needs, characteristics of specific students in the field of Culture - Arts, opinions agreeing to choose account for 96.7%. Extracurricular sports guidance for students, regional characteristics, geographical location, climate, equipment and facilities serving teaching physical education subject have opinions agreeing to choose account for 95.0%. Quality and quantity of physical education teachers, funding for training and competition in mass sports tournaments, opinions agreeing to choose account for 93.3%. Attention and investment of parents in physical development at school, opinions agreeing to choose account for 91.7%. Regimes and policies for those working in physical education in schools, scientific research work serving physical education, opinions agreeing to choose account for 90.0%.

Through the interview results, there is a very important and quite important selection rate, especially there is no unimportant selection.

Proving that the above factors have a great influence on the effectiveness of physical education work at Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism, thereby analyzing the current situation and orienting to find the causes to overcome the existing difficulties and limitations.

3.1.4. Current status of learning outcomes and physical fitness of students of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism through learning outcomes of Physical Education subject.

3.1.4.1. Current status of learning outcomes of Physical Education subject of students at Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The process of teaching, imparting knowledge and experience so that students can have good physical strength, correct psychological qualities and finally be evaluated with specific scores through a prescribed scale.

Therefore, to evaluate the current status of learning outcomes, the research topic conducts a study on the final scores of Civic Education subjects of students in courses K1, K2 and K3. The results are presented specifically in table 3.9 and chart 3.1.

The learning outcomes of courses 2 and 3 are still at a low level. This is reflected in the test results of students, which are mostly at an average level of 31.75% and average and good at 25.16%. Good students and poor students are at the same level in terms of quantity and quality, specifically good students account for 15.46%, poor students account for 17.11%. The percentage of students achieving good and excellent learning outcomes is very low, specifically excellent students account for only 3.30%, and good students only account for 7.22%.


Through the actual learning results of students, the quality of physical education is relatively low, which significantly affects the overall training quality of the school, so improving the quality of physical education is a matter of great concern to the Board of Directors and leaders in the school. Through the above situation, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports and the Department of Physical Education have re-studied the content of the physical education subject for Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in order to improve the quality of physical education as well as the overall training quality of the school.

3.1.4.2. Physical status of students at Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In order to assess the physical capacity of the research subjects, the research topic surveyed the physical fitness level of students through the content and standards of physical training issued by the Ministry of Education and Training (according to Decision No. 53/2008/QD - BGDĐT dated September 18, 2008 of the Minister of Education and Training) [14].

The survey subjects included 485 students, including 269 female students in their first, second and third years majoring in Cultural Management, Music Pedagogy, Cultural Tourism, Fine Arts Pedagogy, Graphics... The data collected during the survey was directly tested and the test results were stored at the Faculty of Physical Education, the Department of Physical Education and the School's Training Management Office. The test content included the following tests:

Dominant grip strength (kg).

Lie on your back and do sit-ups for 30 seconds (times). Jump far in place (cm).

30m high start run (s). 4 x 10m shuttle run (s). 5 minute easy run (m).
