SUMMARY

Risks appear in all fields, regardless of how much or how little, big or small, they will have adverse impacts and cause damage in some way. Therefore, risk management is becoming increasingly important for businesses, especially travel businesses, to identify potential risks that can negatively impact operations and take timely measures to prevent and respond to risks, contributing to minimizing negative impacts on business operations.

The main objectives of this study are:

1. Explore existing theories and models related to risk and hazard management in tourism businesses and the tourism industry in general.

2. Analysis of risk perception and common risk levels in domestic travel business.

3. Conclusion from empirical analysis to incorporate risks into the risk management model and provide solutions and recommendations for risk management activities at the Domestic Tourism Sector - Saigontourist.

The in-depth study examined potential risks to the travel business and studied the current status of risk management activities at the Domestic Tourism Sector - Saigontourist, including internal and external risks to the domestic travel business (Chapters 2 and 3).

A questionnaire with pre-built answers was sent to more than 100 experts, business owners working in the tourism industry and a questionnaire was sent to more than 50 employees of Saigontourist for selection. The result was 100 responses from travel agencies, 51 responses from employees - Saigontourist.

Based on the analysis and evaluation of the survey results on risk perception, the risk level for some common business risks, combined with the ability to forecast risks and the severity of risks to assess and determine which risks should be prioritized. In practice, there will be some types of risks that are significant.

important to one business but may not have the same impact on another. However, this will not negatively affect the business's risk management activities, it also depends on the awareness and skills of risk forecasting, forecasting the severity of risks of the risk management staff, of the business owners to have measures to prevent and respond to risks and thereby minimize negative impacts on the business activities of the business.

Based on theoretical and practical research, domestically and internationally, the contribution of this study is not only valuable to the Domestic Tourism Sector - Saigontourist, but also to other travel businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.
