Comment:
a). Assess the sustainable development of each type of tourism in Binh Thuan province.
- Ecotourism: With 29 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 215.3 points, so ecotourism in Binh Thuan province is assessed to have quite sustainable development.
- Cultural tourism, festivals - events: With 26 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 183.6 points, so cultural tourism, festivals - events in Binh Thuan province are assessed to have quite sustainable development.
- Nursing and resort tourism: With 27 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 209 points, so nursing and resort tourism in Binh Thuan province is assessed to have quite sustainable development.
- Recreational and sports tourism: With 24 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 171 points, so recreational and sports tourism in Binh Thuan province is assessed to have quite sustainable development.
- Shopping tourism: With 23 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 150.6 points, so shopping tourism in Binh Thuan province is assessed to have quite sustainable development.
- MICE tourism: With 24 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 162.9 points, so MICE tourism in Binh Thuan province is assessed to have quite sustainable development.
- Sightseeing tourism: With 27 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 195.1 points, so sightseeing tourism in Binh Thuan province is assessed to have quite sustainable development.
- Caravan tourism: With 24 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 142.3 points, so caravan tourism in Binh Thuan province is assessed as having average sustainable development.
- Home-stay tourism: With 29 parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 217 points, so home-stay tourism in Binh Thuan province is assessed to have quite sustainable development.
b). Assessment of sustainable development of tourism industry in Binh Thuan province
The entire tourism industry of Binh Thuan province with 09 types of tourism, 233 evaluation parameters, the PTBV index achieved is 1,646.8 points, so the tourism industry of Binh Thuan province is assessed to have quite sustainable development.
(2). Comprehensive evaluation of criteria using the weighted matrix method
Based on actual survey data on PTBV indicator parameters for each type of tourism (Table 3.3); PTBV index (unweighted) of 09 types of tourism and the entire tourism industry of Binh Thuan province (Table 3.4) and the weight of the criteria (Table 3.5), it is possible to estimate the PTBV index (weighted) of 09 types of tourism and the entire tourism industry of Binh Thuan province as shown in Table 3.6.
