2.4.1. Current status of planning and managing career guidance activities according to the new general education program in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province
To survey the current status of planning and managing career guidance activities in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province according to the new general education program, we conducted a survey of management staff and teachers of the schools. The results are shown in Table 2.5.

The results in Table 2.5 show that: The contents of planning to manage career guidance activities according to the new general education program in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province are mainly assessed at the average level with the number of opinions choosing this level accounting for about 2/3 of the number of subjects. The average score ranges from 3.15 to 3.25. Besides, there are no opinions evaluating these contents at the good and poor levels; Scattered are some opinions choosing the fair and weak levels. The content that is best assessed is "Determining the method of career guidance activities" with an average score of 3.25, ranked first; followed by the content "Determining the strengths and difficulties of the school in implementing career guidance activities" with an average score of 3.24. Ranked in the last two positions are the content "Determining measures to coordinate with other educational forces to carry out career guidance activities" and "Determining the content of career guidance activities" with an average score of 3.19 and 3.15.
In planning the management of career guidance activities according to the new general education program, the first thing is to determine the objectives of the activity. This is the basis for carrying out the following tasks such as determining the content, methods, conditions and resources for the activity. Therefore, limitations in the goal determination stage will lead to weaknesses in the implementation of related contents.
In fact, secondary schools still carry out career guidance activities according to the current program and mainly for grade 9 students with very little time, only 1 period/month. This is not a compulsory educational activity like the new general education program, there are no regulations on assessment and evaluation. Along with that, secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province still face many difficulties in many aspects, so career guidance activities in schools are not focused on. Therefore, planning work often stops at discussions in professional meetings, school council meetings, there is no separate plan with specific contents related to career guidance activities. This is also a limitation in the management of career guidance activities in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province that needs to be overcome.
2.4.2. Current status of organizing and implementing career guidance activities according to the new general education program in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province
Organization is an important step in management activities, which is the step to perfect the personnel to perform work tasks. The evaluation results of the organization and management of career guidance activities according to the new general education program in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province are shown in table 2.6.

The results of Table 2.6 show that the organization and implementation of career guidance activities according to the new general education program by the Principals of secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province were not highly appreciated by the managers and teachers we surveyed. There were no opinions rated at good or poor levels, but were distributed at fair, average and weak levels, mainly focusing on average level. The average score of the evaluated contents ranged from 2.76 to 2.84.
In organizing career guidance activities according to the new general education program, the first thing that needs to be done is: Building a force to participate in career guidance activities in schools by establishing a career guidance committee, clearly defining the purpose and tasks of the career guidance committee in organizing and implementing career guidance activities for students . From there, other contents follow such as: Assigning specific tasks to members participating in career guidance activities in schools in accordance with the qualities and capacities of the staff; Coordinating with parents in career guidance education for students; Coordinating with social organizations in junior high schools to implement career guidance education for students (Youth Union, Parents' Association, School Trade Union); Coordinating with local socio-political organizations (Commune People's Committee, Women's Union, Veterans' Association, Commune Youth Union...). Therefore, if the first content is not implemented well, it will lead to limitations in implementing the remaining contents. Our survey data shows that there is no significant difference in the assessment of the implementation of career guidance activities for students in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province that we mentioned above. At the same time, this result is also consistent with the survey data on planning and managing career guidance activities for students.
2.4.3. Current status of directing career guidance activities according to the new general education program in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province

To carry out career guidance activities according to the new general education program, first of all, staff and teachers must be knowledgeable about this activity. Therefore, directing the school's teaching staff to study the contents of career guidance activities in the new general education program and the current regulations guiding the implementation of career guidance activities is an important measure that needs to be taken into account. Therefore, the Principal only focuses on directing the homeroom teachers of grade 9 to be in charge of career guidance activities for their class without implementing it for other classes.
Thus, the research results show that the Principals of secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province have not been closely involved in directing the implementation of career guidance activities according to the new general education program. Although experiential and career guidance activities in secondary schools as a compulsory educational activity have not been implemented in practice, there needs to be a transition process so that teachers and those working in career guidance can gradually get used to, catch up with and implement effectively when the program is officially implemented.
2.4.4. Current status of testing and evaluating career guidance activities according to the new general education program in secondary schools in Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province
