cubic meters of gas for economic development and people's lives. Our country's marine resources are considered to be rich in the region.
Regarding national security and defense: Our country's sea and islands are like the front, front yard, and national gateway; the sea, islands, continental shelf, and mainland form a multi-layered, multi-tiered fence and rampart, arranged into a continuous defensive line to protect the Fatherland. National history has recorded that in 2/3 of the wars, the enemy used the sea route to invade our country. The glorious victories of our ancestors on the river and sea battlefields have been demonstrated: three great victories over the enemy on the Bach Dang River (in 938, 981, and 1288); the Rach Gam - Xoai Mut victory in 1785, and the resounding victories of our army and people on the sea and island battlefields in the two resistance wars against French colonialism and the Mi ̃ empire are evidences that leave a deep mark that will never fade in the history of Vietnam.
national history
Nowadays, in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, Vietnam's sea and islands play an important role, being an essential part of the country's territory. Propagating and educating the love of homeland, love of sea and islands for generations, especially the young generation, is a very important task.

of the islanders. Therefore, this indicator will be divided into two sub-indicators:
a1. Natural tourism attractiveness a2. Cultural tourism attractiveness
b. Tourist capacity
The two island communes in Quan Lan have different capacities to receive tourists. Minh Chau Commune is home to many standard hotels and resorts, attracting high-income domestic and international tourists. Meanwhile, Quan Lan Commune has many motels mainly built and operated by local people, so the scale and quality are not high, and will be suitable for ordinary tourists such as students.
c. Time of exploitation of Quan Lan Island Commune:
Quan Lan tourism is seasonal due to weather and climate conditions and festivals only take place on certain days of the year, specifically in spring. In Quan Lan commune, the period from April to June and from September to November is considered the best time to visit Quan Lan because the cultural tourism activities are mainly associated with festivals taking place during this time.
Minh Chau island commune:
Tourism exploitation time is all year round, because this is a place with a number of tourist attractions with diverse ecosystems such as Bai Tu Long National Park Research Center, Tram forest, Turtle Laying Beach, so besides coming to the beach for tourism and vacation in the summer, Minh Chau will attract research groups to come for tourism combined with research at other times of the year.
d. Sustainability
The sustainability of ecotourism sites in Quan Lan and Minh Chau communes depends on the sensitivity of the ecosystems to climate changes.
landscape. In general, these tourist destinations have a fairly high level of sustainability, because they are natural ecosystems, planned and protected. However, if a large number of tourists gather at certain times, it can exceed the carrying capacity and affect the sustainability of the environment (polluted beaches, damaged trees, animals moving away from their habitats, etc.), then the sustainability of the above ecosystems (natural ecosystems, human ecosystems) will also be affected and become less sustainable.
e. Location and accessibility
Both island communes have ports to take tourists to visit from Van Don wharf:
- Quan Lan – Van Don traffic route:
Phuc Thinh – Viet Anh high-speed boat and Quang Minh high-speed boat, depart at 8am and 2pm from Van Don to Quan Lan, and at 7am and 1pm from Quan Lan to Van Don. There are also wooden boats departing at 7am and 1pm.
- Van Don - Minh Chau traffic route:
Chung Huong high-speed train, Minh Chau train, morning 7:30 and afternoon 13:30 from Van Don to Minh Chau, morning 6:30 and afternoon 13:00 from Minh Chau to Van Don.
f. Infrastructure
Despite receiving investment attention, the issue of infrastructure and technical facilities for tourism on Quan Lan Island is still an issue that needs to be resolved because it has a direct impact on the implementation of ecotourism activities. The minimum conditions for serving tourists such as accommodation, electricity, water, communication, especially medical services, and security work need to be given top priority. Ecotourism spots in Minh Chau commune are assessed to have better infrastructure and technical facilities for tourism because there are quite complete and synchronous conditions for serving tourists, meeting many needs of domestic and foreign tourists.
3.2.1.4. Determine assessment levels and assessment scales
Corresponding to the levels of each criterion, the index is the score of those levels in the order of 4, 3, 2, 1 decreasing according to the standard of each level: very attractive (4), attractive (3), average (2), less attractive (1).
3.2.1.5. Determining the coefficients of the criteria
For the assessment of DLST in the two communes of Quan Lan and Minh Chau islands, the students added evaluation coefficients to show the importance of the criteria and indicators as follows:
Coefficient 3 with criteria: Attractiveness, Exploitation time. These are the 2 most important criteria for attracting tourists to tourism in general and eco-tourism in particular, so they have the highest coefficient.
Coefficient 2 with criteria: Capacity, Infrastructure, Location and accessibility . Because the assessment area is an island commune of Van Don district, the above criteria are selected by the author with appropriate coefficients at the average level.
Coefficient 1 with criteria: Sustainability. Quan Lan has natural and human-made ecotourism sites, with high biodiversity and little impact from local human factors. Most of the ecotourism sites are still wild, so they are highly sustainable.
3.2.1.6. Results of DLST assessment on Quan Lan island
a. Assessment of the potential for natural tourism development
For Minh Chau commune:
+ Natural tourism attractiveness is determined to be very attractive (4 points) and the most important coefficient (coefficient 3), so the score of the Attractiveness criterion is 4 x 3 = 12.
+ Capacity is determined as average (2 points) and the coefficient is quite important (coefficient 2), then the score of Capacity criterion is 2 x 2 = 4.
+ Exploitation time is long (4 points), the most important coefficient (coefficient 3) so the score of the Exploitation time criterion is 4 x 3 = 12.
+ Sustainability is determined as sustainable (4 points), the important coefficient is the average coefficient (coefficient 1), so the score of the Sustainability criterion is 4 x 1 = 4 points
+ Location and accessibility are determined to be quite favorable (2 points), the coefficient is quite important (coefficient 2), the criterion score is 2 x 2 = 4 points.
+ Infrastructure is assessed as good (3 points), the coefficient is quite important (coefficient 2), then the score of the Infrastructure criterion is 3 x 2 = 6 points.
The total score for evaluating DLST in Minh Chau commune according to 6 evaluation criteria is determined as: 12 + 4 + 12 + 4 + 4 + 6 = 42 points

b. Assessment of the potential for humanistic tourism development
For Quan Lan commune:
+ The attractiveness of human tourism is determined to be very attractive (4 points) and the most important coefficient (coefficient 3), so the score of the Attractiveness criterion is 4 x 3 = 12.
+ Capacity is determined to be large (3 points) and the coefficient is quite important (coefficient 2), then the score of the Capacity criterion is 3 x 2 = 6.
+ Mining time is average (3 points), the most important coefficient (coefficient 3) so the score of the Mining time criterion is 3 x 3 = 9.
+ Sustainability is determined as sustainable (4 points), the important coefficient is the average coefficient (coefficient 1), so the score of the Sustainability criterion is 4 x 1 = 4 points.
+ Location and accessibility are determined to be quite favorable (2 points), the coefficient is quite important (coefficient 2), the criterion score is 2 x 2 = 4 points.
+ Infrastructure is rated as average (2 points), the coefficient is quite important (coefficient 2), then the score of the Infrastructure criterion is 2 x 2 = 4 points.
The total score for evaluating DLST in Quan Lan commune according to 6 evaluation criteria is determined as: 12 + 6 + 6 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 36 points.

Basically, both Minh Chau and Quan Lan localities have quite favorable conditions for developing ecotourism. However, Quan Lan commune has more advantages to develop ecotourism in a humanistic direction, because this is an area with many famous historical relics such as Quan Lan Communal House, Quan Lan Pagoda, Temple worshiping the hero Tran Khanh Du, ... along with local festivals held annually such as the wind praying ceremony (March 15), Quan Lan festival (June 10-19); due to its location near the port and long exploitation time, the beaches in Quan Lan commune (especially Quan Lan beach) are no longer hygienic and clean to ensure the needs of tourists coming to relax and swim; this is also an area with many beautiful landscapes such as Got Beo wind pass, Ong Phong head, Voi Voi cave, but the ability to access these places is still very limited (dirt hill road, lots of gravel and rocks), especially during rainy and windy times; In addition, other natural resources such as mangrove forests and sea worms have not been really exploited for tourism purposes and ecotourism development. On the contrary, Minh Chau commune has more advantages in developing ecotourism in the direction of natural tourism, this is an area with diverse ecosystems such as at Rua De Beach, Bai Tu Long National Park Conservation Center...; Minh Chau beach is highly appreciated for its natural beauty and cleanliness, ranked in the top ten most beautiful beaches in Vietnam; Minh Chau commune is also home to Tram forest with a large area and a purity of up to 90%, suitable for building bridges through the forest (a very effective type of natural ecotourism currently applied by many countries) for tourists to sightsee, as well as for the purpose of studying and researching.

3.2.2. Using SWOT matrix to evaluate Quan Lan island tourism
General assessment of current tourism activities of Quan Lan island is shown through the following SWOT matrix:
Table 3.5: SWOT matrix evaluating tourism activities on Quan Lan island
Internal agent
Strengths- There is a lot of potential for tourism development, especially natural ecotourism and humanistic ecotourism.- The unskilled labor force is relatively abundant.- resource environmentunpolluted, still
Weaknesses- Poorly developed infrastructure, especially traffic routes to tourist destinations on the island.- The team of professional staff is still weak.- Tourism products in general
quite wild, originalintact
general and DLST in particularalone is monotonous.
External agents
Opportunity- Tourism is a key industry in the socio-economic development strategy of the province and Van Don economic zone.- Quan Lan was selected as a pilot area for eco-tourism development within the framework of the green growth project between Quang Ninh province and the Japanese organization JICA.- The flow of tourists and especially ecotourism in the world tends toincreasing
Challenge- Weather and climate change abnormally.- Competition in tourism products is increasingly fierce, especially with other localities in the province such as Ha Long, Mong Cai...- Awareness of tourists, especially domestic tourists, about ecotourism and nature conservation is not high.
Through summary analysis using SWOT matrix we see that:
To exploit strengths and take advantage of opportunities, it is necessary to:
- Diversify products and service types (build more tourism routes aimed at specific needs of tourists: experiential tourism immersed in nature, spiritual cultural tourism...)
- Effective exploitation of resources and differentiated products (natural resources and human resources)

* Love:
Love is a polysemous concept in the way people express and understand it. Currently, many authors in different fields define love, based on many aspects and perspectives of that science. In the most general sense accepted by many authors, it is: " Love is a positive emotional state of one subject towards another subject at a higher level than interest and must give rise to the desire to be attached to that subject at a certain aspect or level. Love is considered the strongest, most beautiful emotion but also the most elusive and difficult to define, even when compared to other emotions ". [37, p.1247]

Love is a general expression of positive psychology . The subject of love, except for some cases of personification, is human. The subject of love is very diverse and rich, it can be anyone .
anything, from simple to complex, from small to great, from visible to invisible
Therefore, there are many types of love such as: love between men and women; love for work; love for nature, love for homeland and country; love for family, love for fellow human beings, ...
* Love of homeland and country:
According to the Vietnamese Encyclopedia: " Love for the homeland and country is a political ethical principle whose content is affection, loyalty, and consciousness of serving the Fatherland . Primitive society had the seeds of love for the homeland and country, based on blood ties between members of a clan or tribe. Since the disintegration of primitive society, natural feelings of attachment to the homeland, mother tongue, traditions, ... combined with awareness of the people's obligations to the entire social community have been established. Along with the formation of the nation and the national state, love for the homeland and country has become the main
is an element in the social psychology of the individual, has become the patriotism of a nation. It becomes an extremely powerful spiritual force, motivating everyone to stand up to protect the fatherland against all invasions. Love
True love for one's homeland and country is expressed in loyalty to the fatherland for the benefit of the nation and people, protecting the survival of the nation and fighting for the prosperity of the country."[ 33, p.874]. In love for one's homeland and country, love for one's sea and islands is a typical manifestation.
* Love of sea and islands:
From the above analysis, it can be understood that: Love for the sea and islands is a positive feeling of an individual or group towards the sea and island territory of the country. It is a natural feeling of human beings, but it is not present from birth, but it is formed in studying, working, fighting against foreign invaders, protecting the sea and islands of the country .
Love for the sea and islands is part of love for the homeland, love for the sea and islands is not only a sentiment but also a responsibility and obligation towards the homeland's sea and islands in all circumstances. In today's era, love for the sea and islands is also expressed as the consciousness of striving for the strength of a country with seas, escaping the status of a poor, underdeveloped country, promoting industrialization and modernization of the country. Love for the sea and islands is to strive to study, work, and do things with the highest quality and efficiency, the most practical, and the consciousness of protecting the marine and island environment. Love for the sea and islands is to strive for the goal: rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization. Love for the sea and islands is to be ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence, sovereignty, unity and integrity of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
1.2.4. Education of love for the sea and islands
Education is a special social phenomenon, because its nature is the transmission and acquisition of historical and social experiences of generations of mankind. Education is always closely associated with mankind, has the effect of orienting and guiding the development of each generation of mankind. Thanks to education, the quintessence of national and human culture is inherited, supplemented and developed. Education work contributes effectively to " Improving people's knowledge, nurturing talents to form a workforce with skills, practical capacity, autonomy, dynamism and creativity, revolutionary ethics, patriotism and love for socialism ". [31, p.25]
The document of the 11th National Congress of the Party determined: " Strengthening propaganda and education on patriotism, national consciousness, responsibility and obligation to protect sovereignty and national interests... Accordingly, promoting propaganda and education, raising awareness, responsibility and love for the sea and islands, contributing to firmly protecting the unified sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Fatherland is an important and regular task of the political system at all levels and the people's mass forces ."[10, p.90] Thus, we see the consistency in the educational viewpoint of the Party and State is to always attach importance to ideological education .
revolutionary ethics, fostering love of family, love of homeland, country, love of the sea and islands of the homeland.
In schools, educating students about the love of the sea and islands takes place throughout the entire educational process in general schools, where there are impacts that
changes in psychology , consciousness, and emotions to form the personality qualities of students. The impacts from educational forces, from the educational environment to students will be received by them, transforming into objective requirements and regulations.
The impact of learning activities on individuals' awareness, attitudes, feelings and positive behaviors towards the homeland's sea and islands.
Organizing activities to educate students about the love of the sea and islands should start from providing students with knowledge about the sea and islands, based on a deep understanding of the rights, obligations and responsibilities towards the sea and islands of their homeland, positive emotions and feelings towards this territory of the country will appear in them. From there, they have a need for understanding through learning knowledge about the sea and islands, a sense of experiencing love for the sea and islands and a need to express love for the sea and islands voluntarily and consciously in all different situations and environments. At that time, love for the sea and islands will become a natural feeling of the individual student.
From the above analysis, it can be determined: Educating students about love for the sea and islands
is the process of purposeful and systematic impact of educators on students, through the reasonable organization of learning activities, experiences and extracurricular activities to form their love for the sea and islands.
Love for the sea and islands does not come naturally but is forged from the painful yet heroic history of the nation. Therefore, educating students on love is extremely important. We must educate them on the right attitude, the spirit of work and the dedication to build the homeland's sea and islands. For today's general schools, doing this task well will contribute significantly to the completion of the goal of training new socialist people with patriotism and international spirit.
1.2.5. Activity
Eastern Europe
after school hours
GDNGLL activities are educational activities organized by the school to contribute to the comprehensive education of students' personalities. These educational activities are carried out outside of regular classroom hours, directly organized by the school and the team of homeroom teachers, in coordination with the Youth Union, Pioneer organizations and the participation of families and society.
According to author Dang Vu Hoat: " Vocational education activities are the organization of education through students' practical activities in science, technology , and public labor."
benefits, social activities, humanitarian activities, culture and art, aesthetics, sports
sports, entertainment, ... to help children form and develop their personality". [ 27, p.37]
Author Pham Thi Minh Hanh believes: " Educational extracurricular activities are activities organized outside of class hours, taking place inside or outside of school, organized to educate students according to the educational goals set out, are a continuation of educational activities in class, are the path of linking theory with practice, creating unity between perception and action in students ". [28, p.37] Other authors such as Nguyen Duc Quang, Bui Sy Tung, Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Giao, ... [13] although not giving the concept of educational extracurricular activities, all agree on the point of view when talking about educational extracurricular activities including: educational extracurricular activities are closely linked to teaching activities, are a continuation of teaching activities to consolidate and apply learned knowledge to real life. Educational extracurricular activities actively contribute to the formation of basic human skills to meet the requirements of society in the period of
industrialization and modernization of the country.
Thus, it can be understood that: Extracurricular activities are educational activities organized outside of school hours to contribute to the formation and comprehensive development of students' personalities to meet the set educational goals .
Currently, extracurricular activities include science, literature, art, physical education, sports, traffic safety, and child protection.
combating social evils, sex education, legal education, career education, life skills education to develop comprehensively and nurture talents; recreational activities, sightseeing, tourism, cultural exchange, education
environment; charity activities and other social activities suitable for the psychological characteristics of students' age .
1.2.6. Educating love for the sea and islands through outdoor educational activities
class time
In general schools, each educational or teaching activity with different functions and tasks is the concretization of general goals into specific goals.
For example, teaching activities in subjects such as Geography and History help students understand their country, understand the country's seas and islands, understand the history of exploiting natural resources " golden forests and silver seas " to increase love for the Fatherland.
love for the homeland, love for the sea and islands, and enhance the responsibility to protect nature. On that basis, educate love for the sea and islands, national pride, the ideal of national independence associated with socialism, train thinking capacity, practical capacity, and ability to protect nature.
ability to apply knowledge to life
Educating love for the homeland, especially love for the sea and islands through educational activities is very important for students. By organizing educational activities, educators will provide historical knowledge and the tradition of exploiting the sea and islands of our ancestors, helping students have a deep insight into the sea and islands of their homeland. Through organizing educational activities with topics about the sea and islands, students will be formed into citizens, which is a means to help us nurture love for the sea and islands, patriotism, love for the history of our ancestors, national culture, instill in students feelings and enthusiasm for national history, love for the sea and islands of the Fatherland and their responsibility to protect sovereignty and marine and island resources in modern life.
From the above analysis, it can be understood that: Educating love for the sea and islands through organizing GDNGLL activities is organizing activities
GDNGLL with specific content related to knowledge about the sea and islands, with forms of activities to educate awareness and love of the sea and islands for students.
The process of educating love for the sea and islands through organizing activities of education for the sea and islands includes the following elements: educational goals, educational content, educational methods, forms, means, educational paths, educational forces and results of educating love for the sea and islands for students.
1.3. Age characteristics of junior high school students
Education in general and education on love for the sea and islands only have positive effects when they are suitable for the educational object. The educational object is both the object that education aims at, it determines the content, methods, paths and means, and sets requirements for the subject of education. Education on love for the sea and islands for secondary school students through educational activities needs to grasp the physiological, psychological, cognitive and social characteristics of students as the object of education on love for the sea and islands.
Secondary school students are between 11 and 15 years old (grades 6 and 9). This stage of development is called adolescence. This age has a special position and importance in the development of children, because it is the transition period from childhood to adulthood and is reflected by different names such as: "transitional period " , " crisis age "...[4]
1.3.1. Physiological characteristics
Secondary school students are characterized by a remarkable leap in physiological development. Physical development and changes in the body can cause teenagers to be curious, interested, self-aware, and feel like they are becoming adults. Development also causes them many obstacles, not knowing how to control their emotions and
behavior. They always want to prove that they are adults, which increases the positivity in learning and social activities of students. However, they do not see their limitations, so they show signs of stubbornness, irritability, and difficulty in managing, etc. To orient their personality development well,
It is necessary to delve into the inner world of students, understand their psychological and physiological needs in order to have timely measures to adjust and attract students to activities that promote their creativity and independence. " The physical changes of middle school students have made them have different personality traits from students of previous ages. This age is the age of abundant willpower, high positivity, and many great plans ." [4, p.23]
1.3.2. Cognitive characteristics
At this age, children's abstract thinking has developed, they like to learn, explore, discover new things, especially like to experience new activities. When perceiving objects and phenomena, secondary school students have the ability to analyze and synthesize. The amount of perception increases, perception is more sequential, planned, and complete. Secondary school students' attention is very complex. The change in the relationship between concrete figurative thinking and abstract, general thinking, in which abstract thinking predominates, is a basic characteristic of the thinking activities of secondary school students.
1.3.3. Characteristics of consciousness
At the age of secondary school students, there appears the need for self-evaluation, the need to compare themselves with others, begin to examine themselves, outline their future personality, want to understand the strengths and weaknesses in their personality. The self-awareness of this age group begins with self-awareness of their own behavior. To develop self-awareness for this age group, the most decisive factor is their collective life, where there are many correct value relationships, forming in them confidence in their self-evaluation and increasingly high requirements for their behavior and activities, helping to develop their self-awareness.
Thus, on the basis of developing self-awareness and realistic cognitive attitudes, on the basis of increasingly high demands on them, their new position in the collective, has given rise to the desire to cultivate themselves with the aim of developing good personality traits, overcoming outdated personality traits, and their own shortcomings and mistakes.
