Chart 3.1. Necessary level of coordination between departments and functional units

When asked about the assessment of managers, teachers and students on the necessity of coordination between functional departments in management work, we found that almost all managers, teachers and students are aware of the necessity of smooth coordination between functional departments. Although the awareness level of managers and teachers on this issue is higher than that of students, the fact that they themselves are aware of this issue is very good. This proves that coordination between functional departments in management work is necessary and consistent with the awareness of all members of Hoa An Ethnic Minority High School.

This will help the work of dormitory managers. Because teachers in the school are the examples for students to follow. What teachers convey and guide is always highly effective, helping students realize what they need, should do and what they should not do. When students are aware of these issues, dormitory managers work more easily. Teachers, student managers and dormitory managers need to have a reasonable division of labor in managing student activities both in class and in the dormitory.

3.2.4.1. Purpose and meaning of the measure

In management, there is nothing better than each student being aware of what to do and what not to do. When students build and maintain self-awareness every day, management activities will become easier. However, the staff, teachers and dormitory managers themselves cannot follow the students step by step to remind them. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the self-management role of students through the activities of the Youth Union, the Young Pioneers, the student shock team... in Hoa An Ethnic Minority High School.

When surveying students about the self-management role of the Youth Union at Hoa An Ethnic Minority High School, we found that 35% of students assessed the role of the Youth Union as quite good in the activities of the Youth Union, 10% said that the self-management role of the Youth Union was very good. However, 50% of the students responded that the self-management role of the Youth Union was only at an average level, and some students even chose the weak level (5%). This result partly reflects the current situation of the Youth Union at the school. Although the Youth Union has demonstrated its self-management role in its activities, the level of effectiveness is still not high.

Checking and evaluating help the Principal grasp feedback from the management object, grasp the work progress in the organization, compare the actual results achieved with the set goals, thereby having appropriate management impacts. However, checking and evaluating cultural lifestyle education activities is not as easy as checking and evaluating professional activities. Therefore, it is necessary to check and evaluate before, during and after the implementation process. Accurate and truthful checking and evaluation will have a direct effect on finding the causes and proposing effective management solutions.

Collectives that participate in activities well will be rewarded promptly and their examples will be widely disseminated to encourage and motivate the movement. Cultural education activities for students are rich and diverse, so the testing and evaluation process is also difficult and complicated. To manage this activity well, managers must develop testing and evaluation criteria. Testing and evaluation criteria must be based on the prescribed program, content, plan, and sense of responsibility of teachers and students in each activity.

work performance and efficiency... and is quantified in points.

Testing and evaluation criteria must be developed from the opinions of teachers and students in the school and then unified into standards for implementation throughout the school.

* Develop a test and evaluation plan:

It is the process of measuring task performance, based on standards approved by the school's pedagogical council, through which managers detect deviations from the standards.

To do a good job of inspection and evaluation, managers must develop a school inspection plan.

+ Inspection force: To closely inspect and evaluate correctly, it is necessary to organize forces to monitor emulation and supervise activities in the learning program, namely: red flag team, teachers on duty, Youth Union officials, and homeroom teachers.

+ Each department must be closely organized from the stage of assigning responsibilities, working methods, arranging on-duty time, on-duty schedule, creating tables and regularly monitoring competition.

+ Summary and evaluation: For teachers: the evaluation results of preparation, organization and effectiveness of organizing activities are one of the criteria for classifying emulation titles and evaluating civil servants and public employees annually.

For students: after each week, there is a summary assessment and collective ranking according to quantified scores.

The training results of individuals and groups are used as the basis for evaluating and classifying student conduct and student group competition.

Evaluation should focus on substance, not on achievements.

* Competition and rewards:

Competition and rewards are forms of motivation that have great educational significance. However, if the rewards are not given to the right people and the right things, they will be counterproductive. To do well in competition and rewards, managers need to launch a widespread competition movement throughout the school, build competition titles, establish a competition committee to evaluate the competition of teachers and students throughout the school, creating fairness in competition.

The progress and positive actions of groups or individuals of students need to be recognized and evaluated properly and promptly, disseminated, replicated, and widely promoted in schools.
