2.2.3. Marketing communication tools


2.2.3.1. Advertising


AMES English Center focuses on advertising, deepening the image of AMES into the minds of customers through the brand identity system such as staff and student uniforms, umbrellas, promotional gifts such as hats, backpacks, teddy bears. In addition, the Center's media publications, tables, chairs and classrooms are all decorated in two main colors, blue and red, to create brand consistency.

In the era of increasingly developing digital technology, Internet advertising is one of the channels that AMES cannot ignore. Currently, AMES is focusing on posting programs and running ads through the social network Facebook. Because this is the most used social network in Vietnam, the ability to reach target customers is very high. In addition, AMES also built a Youtube channel with English learning videos, but this channel has not really received much investment.

Advertising through display items in the lobby and classrooms of the Center: AMES teddy bears, books, brochures, leaflets with information about courses, images of students who have completed courses and achieved international English certificates at the Center, certificates that AMES English Center has achieved to help customers have more confidence in the Center's educational services.


Although flyers, banners, and posters are traditional advertising tools, they are the advertising methods used by the majority of businesses, including AMES. When there is a promotion program, the Center often places standees in the entrance hall of the Center, posts posters in the elevator, hangs banners in the parking lot, stairs, and distributes flyers at schools to bring program information closer to students.

In addition, AMES also uses television advertising to report on major events and programs such as the "English Summer Activities" program broadcast on TRT channel, combined with articles appearing on large, reputable sites such as thuathienhue.gov.vn, thanhnien.thuathienhue.gov.vn to spread information and images of AMES to the public on a wide scale.

2.2.3.2. Promotion


To encourage customers to register for courses at the Center, AMES has launched many attractive promotions on holidays such as 40% scholarship, trial study programs, trial exams, attractive gifts such as backpacks, pillows, headphones, water bottles, books, vouchers.

AMES scholarship promotion programs are often held on special occasions such as the Center's founding anniversary, Lunar New Year, School Opening Day, Valentine's Day, Children's Day, Vietnamese Women's Day, International Women's Day, Christmas. Implementing promotional programs during this time will help the Center boost sales and attract more students to enroll.

Promotional programs are not implemented separately but will be combined with advertising on Facebook, printed on leaflets distributed to students at schools, hanging posters, standees at the Center, parking area to create a spread for the program so that students can know about the program.

Give voucher

Discount vouchers are often used as gifts in mock tests and other competitions at AMES. In the Golden Bell contest, those who answer the most questions correctly will have the opportunity to receive a voucher worth 500,000 VND or a voucher worth 200,000 VND along with other gifts. Vouchers are also applied in mock tests of Ielts and Toeic. The top 3 candidates with the highest scores in the contest will have the opportunity to receive a tuition discount voucher when registering to study at the Center or a refund voucher after taking the test at IIG.

AMES organizes lucky spins on holidays such as Children's Day with many attractive gifts such as backpacks, hats, teddy bears, movie tickets, scholarships of 300,000 VND, 200,000 VND and scholarships up to 40% to attract customers to participate and stimulate customers to register for courses at the Center.

At the Center, AMES often organizes programs to give away free trial lessons and free Toeic study weeks so that students have the opportunity to experience the international English environment and get acquainted with professional learning methods and models at AMES Hue Center. AMES English Center regularly organizes Toeic and Ielts mock exams at schools and at the Center so that students can assess their own abilities and build a suitable learning path for themselves. In addition, students who participate in mock exams with high results also have the opportunity to receive rewards such as 50% tuition vouchers, Ietls books, and bluetooth headphones.

2.2.3.3. Event and Experiential Marketing


To make learning English less boring, AMES has cleverly integrated English lessons into outdoor exploration, fun, and picnic activities. From there, it helps students have interesting experiences and gradually form a passion and interest in learning English.

Halloween Festival

Halloween is held on October 31st, an opportunity for students to learn about Western culture. In this activity, students will dress up as scary, creepy characters or any character they love and participate in activities and games typical of Halloween. The message that AMES wants to bring to students through Halloween is that they should not joke with ghosts, threatening games,


deceit, making others afraid and evil deeds that harm others and society. Should live compassionately, charitable, helping people in difficulty, not stingy, greedy, mean.

Mid-Autumn Festival with AMES

In order to create opportunities for students to explore the customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival, AMES organized a Mid-Autumn Festival right at the Center for children and teenagers. Participating in this program, you will be able to participate in interesting activities such as making moon cakes, making lanterns and making masks. At the end of the class, you will not only learn English vocabulary about the Mid-Autumn Festival but also enjoy the fruits of your own creation, which are masks with many different shapes and bright colors, along with beautiful, delicious moon cakes to give to your loved ones.

In addition to theoretical lessons and exercises at the Center, AMES also organizes extracurricular lessons outside to bring students interesting experiences, both learning and practicing. Under the guidance of the teachers, the students went to Coopmart supermarket and went shopping, paying and ordering food in English. This new learning method not only helps students learn English effectively but also learn useful skills in daily life such as shopping, choosing fresh food, and calculating reasonable prices.

With the desire to bring students a meaningful summer, AMES Hue has coordinated with Hue Lotus homestay to organize the program "Children experience being a farmer". Through the field trip, students not only learned about traditional craft villages but also experienced interesting activities such as growing vegetables, taking care of and feeding chickens, making paper flowers, making incense - agarwood buds, making cream puffs, cupcakes,... Students were very interested and excited about the program's activities with the participation of more than 35 students.

To promote the image of the Center, AMES often posts articles on the AMES English fanpage (Hue, Thua Thien-Hue) with the content honoring students who have studied at AMES English Center and passed the TOEIC, IELTS, B1, B2 exams with high achievements, to affirm the quality of education of the Center, at the same time strengthen the trust of current customers in the AMES brand as well as attract potential customers to study at the Center.

Charity activities


Sympathizing and sharing the losses and difficulties that students in low-lying areas have to go through, AMES Hue English Center organized a charity event with social significance, giving gifts including backpacks, pens, notebooks, and life jackets to students at Quang An Primary School No. 1 and Quang Phuoc Primary School No. 1.
