Solutions to improve internal inspection and audit methods in commercial banks and move towards applying international standards.
- The State Bank needs to soon complete the system of monitoring and evaluating the quality of risk management within commercial banks, thereby providing early warnings to commercial banks about weaknesses in credit risk management.
CHAPTER 5 CONCLUSION
Credit quality for the supporting industry at Vietnamese commercial banks is affected by factors from commercial banks, supporting industry enterprises and the State's supporting industry development policies. To improve credit quality for the supporting industry at Vietnamese commercial banks, the author has proposed solutions for commercial banks, enterprises and the State. The solutions focus on the following contents:
- Credit policy for effective development of supporting industry
- Credit process
- Improve credit risk management capacity
- Financial capacity of CNHT business customers
- Policy to promote development of supporting industries
- Recommendations to the Government and relevant Ministries/Agencies.
CONCLUDE
Bank credit activities and bank credit quality are always of interest in the business activities of banks. When credit facilities are guaranteed and used effectively, it will limit risks for banks, bringing benefits to banks and borrowers. The author's research has synthesized quite fully the issues related to credit quality for the supporting industry at Vietnamese commercial banks. The content of the research is presented in 5 chapters as follows:
Chapter 1. Research Introduction
Chapter 1 includes: Urgency of the research problem; Research objectives; Research questions; Research objects and scope; New contributions of the thesis; Research methods; Structure of the thesis.
Chapter 2: Theoretical basis and Research overview
Chapter 2 includes: Theoretical basis related to the specific supporting industry such as: concept, characteristics, classification of supporting industry. Theoretical basis on credit quality for supporting industry at commercial banks includes: Viewpoints on credit quality for supporting industry at commercial banks; Criteria for assessing credit quality for supporting industry at commercial banks. Some main contents ensuring credit quality for supporting industry at commercial banks. Factors affecting credit quality for supporting industry at commercial banks include: Group of factors belonging to banks; Group of factors belonging to supporting industry enterprise customers; Group of other factors.
Also in chapter 2 of the thesis, the author presented the experiences of foreign commercial banks such as: Commercial banks in Thailand, Commercial banks in China, Commercial banks in Japan, Commercial banks in Korea in improving credit quality for the supporting industry and drawing lessons for Vietnamese commercial banks.
