PART I - INTRODUCTION


1. Urgency of the topic:


In recent decades, along with the operation of the socio-economic system, human life has also changed a lot. In particular, with the advent of scientific and technological advances, new inventions have changed the way people think about life. They increasingly want to explore the natural landscape, the world around them, discover new things, explore the customs and practices in attractive lands. And tourism has become an indispensable need in human social life.

Tourism - a dynamic economic sector of every economy, developing at an increasingly rapid pace worldwide. High growth rates and large investment flows in tourism have a positive impact on various economic sectors (state or private) and created an important industry - the tourism industry. Tourism accounts for 6% of the world's gross domestic product, 7% of global investment, 1/16 of jobs, 11% of world consumer spending. Tourism has become one of the key economic sectors of many countries. The development of the tourism industry will lead to the development of a series of other industries such as transportation, post, commerce, finance, personal activities, entertainment services, cultural and sports activities... On the other hand, tourism activities also have the effect of strengthening social relations, friendship and mutual understanding between peoples and countries. Therefore, today it is impossible not to notice the enormous impact of tourism on the world economy.

With such effectiveness, many countries focus on tourism development, considering tourism as an important economic sector in their socio-economic development strategy. Vietnam is no exception. Vietnam is a country with great potential for tourism development. Quang Ninh tourism is one of the extremely potential bright spots, a place where hidden and charming beauties converge; has been, is and will be a wonderful destination for tourists who love to admire beauty, love

explore the amazing natural landscape here. However, from a certain perspective, Quang Ninh tourism has not really developed commensurate with this great potential.

To make tourism a key economic sector in Quang Ninh province, it is necessary to have effective solutions to overcome the difficulties and limitations of the current situation of tourism development in the province. Therefore, the author has chosen the topic " Quang Ninh Tourism. Current Situation and Solutions " as the topic for his graduation thesis.

2. Research purpose and tasks:

Research purpose: The thesis is written to provide realistic, specific and accurate assessments of the current state of tourism development in Quang Ninh province. On that basis, the author would like to propose effective solutions to develop industry activities in the period of international economic integration.

Research tasks: To achieve the above research objectives, the thesis must conduct research on the following basic contents:

Generalize basic theories of tourism, nature of tourism products, tourism development environment.

Research and study the current status of tourism development in Quang Ninh province, the potential, opportunities and challenges of tourism, the business performance of the industry, and at the same time investigate the causes leading to those results.

Based on research and analysis of causes, the thesis must propose effective solutions to promote the development of tourism activities in Quang Ninh.

3. Research objects and scope:

The research object of the thesis is tourism business activities in Quang Ninh province (travel business, tourist transportation services, accommodation and food services... of the tourism industry in Quang Ninh province).

The scope of the thesis is Quang Ninh province, however, to make the thesis clearer and more concise, in addition to analyzing economic activities,
