Vietnam's strategy to attract tourists in the context of global economic recession - 13

CONCLUDE

In fact, in recent years, Vietnam's tourism industry has made great progress, contributing significantly to the country's socio-economic development. After nearly 50 years of formation and development, the tourism industry has flourished since the Doi Moi period and has gradually matured, constantly striving to achieve the goal set by the Party and the State of developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector.

In the context of increasingly deep international integration, cooperation opportunities in all aspects have opened up and many of them have created favorable conditions for the tourism industry to promote its inherent potential and accelerate growth. However, international integration also poses many difficulties and challenges for the tourism industry, which is considered quite young in the region like Vietnam. The context of the global economic recession puts the tourism industry in a situation where it is forced to improve, renew itself, and mobilize all resources to improve product quality to attract tourists if it does not want to lose market share to countries with more advanced and sensitive tourism industries in the region such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. To regain rapid growth and continue to develop sustainably, competing with developed tourism industries in the region and the world, the Vietnamese tourism industry must implement a strategy to attract tourists in a synchronous and effective manner. Only in that way can Vietnam's tourism industry develop in the long term and catch up with the development speed of countries with more advanced tourism industries in the region, gradually making Vietnam tourism a bright spot on the tourism map in the region and the world.
