Appendix 2: Results using discussion method


The author uses the interview method of people who are knowledgeable about the research problem. Steps:

First: Group discussion to build tourism service quality factors affecting tourist satisfaction in Ho Chi Minh City

Second: Synthesize member opinions to build tourism service quality factors that affect tourist satisfaction to proceed with building an official scale.

Third: Use the official scale to interview 250 customers.

Group structure: The author discussed with 10 experts. The discussion took place in 3 working hours.

Building a questionnaire to collect opinions : What factors of tourism service quality affect tourist satisfaction in Ho Chi Minh City?

When interviewing the expert group, the proposed research model includes 5 factors of tourism service quality affecting tourist satisfaction: (1) Reliability; (2) Responsiveness; (3) Service capacity; (4) Empathy; (5) Tangible means.

The author uses the results in Table 2 as the official scale and conducts discussions to build observation variables of tourism service quality factors affecting tourist satisfaction in Ho Chi Minh City from the qualitative research table prepared in advance.

After discussion, the members agreed to keep the observed variables. Therefore, 26 observed variables of 6 factors in the model were kept unchanged (including 22 observed variables of 5 factors affecting customer satisfaction).

The author used this scale as the basis for building the official scale and conducting interviews with 250 customers. And as the official database for the thesis.
