Foreign Direct Investment in Hanoi's Service Sector - Current Situation and Solutions - 14

CONCLUDE

In recent times, FDI has breathed new life into Hanoi's service industry through technology transfer and training. FDI has contributed to enriching tourism infrastructure, creating jobs for thousands of workers, increasing foreign currency revenue and contributing to the city budget... Large, splendid hotels, shopping malls, and office-apartment complexes have truly brought a new face to cities across the country, standing shoulder to shoulder with modern cities around the world.

However, besides the above positive aspects, FDI in the service industry still has many limitations, the amount of investment capital tends to decrease, the investment structure is unreasonable, the efficiency of investment projects is not high, many projects have to withdraw investment licenses or temporarily stop implementing operations. The underlying cause of the above phenomenon is that the investment environment in Hanoi in the service sector is not yet favorable. Therefore, in the coming time, we must further improve the investment environment, creating a favorable investment environment that is competitive compared to other countries in the region and in the world. Within a limited framework, the thesis focused on solutions to improve the investment environment in general and some specific solutions for Hanoi's service industry such as building a plan for service industry development, promoting investment promotion activities, enhancing training of the workforce in the service industry, etc.

With improvements in Hanoi's investment environment and the objective recovery of economies in the region, we can fully hope that FDI in Hanoi's service industry will grow strongly again, contributing to the construction and development of the service industry in particular and the entire economy in general.
