2.3.2.2. Inheritance points and research gaps for the topic
Thus, previous studies at home and abroad have contributed fundamentally to the construction of factors affecting the development of Craft Villages, but the results are completely inconsistent between countries and regions due to differences in cultural, economic, legal environments... However, the following factors appear in many studies, as well as the study of Mai Van Nam (2013) which is close to the author's study in Cai Be, Tien Giang, also in the Mekong Delta region:
- Financial capacity of farmers
- Infrastructure
- Production conditions of farming households
- Understanding ability of farmers
This is the empirical basis for the author's proposed research model.
On the other hand, from previous studies, the authors have not yet conducted in-depth research on the rice paper craft village. At the same time, in Tien Giang province, there has been no previous research on the factors affecting the development of the rice paper craft village.
This is the research gap for the topic.
2.4. PROPOSED RESEARCH MODEL
2.4.1. Proposed research model
The author's research model is based mainly on the results of the model of factors affecting the development of craft villages in the research article "Factors affecting the development of craft villages combined with tourism in the Mekong Delta", Journal of Economic Research, No. 422, pp. 62-69, July 2013 by Mai Van Nam with 4 statistically significant dependent variables. From there, the author's proposed model retains the model of Mai Van Nam (2013) with 4 independent variables: (1) Financial capacity of farming households, (2) Infrastructure, (3) Production conditions of farming households and (4) Knowledge of farming households .
Next, the author conducted direct interviews with 06 representatives of Banh Phong craft villages in Cai Be district, Tien Giang province to contribute ideas on influencing factors. The final result is that the official research model retains the 4 independent variables as proposed by the author.

Research hypotheses:
H 1 : The financial capacity of households has a positive impact on the development of the Rice Paper craft village in Tien Giang province.
H 2 : Infrastructure has a positive impact on the development of craft villages.
H 3 : Production conditions of farming households have a positive impact on the development of craft villages.
H 4 : The understanding ability of farmers has a positive impact on the development of craft villages.
2.4.2. Description of variables in the model
The content of the variables in the author's proposed model is understood as follows:
Dependent variable : Development of the Rice Paper Craft Village
From the theoretical basis in section 2.1, it can be summarized:
Craft village development is a local economic development program aimed at improving product quality, controlling input sources, increasing production quantity and ensuring a steady supply; bringing income to individuals and families, which can help people improve their lives; potential for local economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction for people.
Independent variables : 04 variables
(1) Financial capacity of farmers
The financial capacity of craft village households is the equity capital and loan capital of craft village households to invest in materials, raw materials, machinery and equipment, labor, etc. to develop the craft village.
(2) Infrastructure
Infrastructure in craft villages includes transportation roads, electricity and water supply systems, etc.
(3) Production conditions of farming households
Farming household production conditions show the quantity of human resources and input materials for the production process, along with local policies that contribute to solving production difficulties for farmers.
(4) Understanding ability of farmers
Farmers' understanding ability is the level of education, the ability to recognize opportunities for production activities from market information about raw materials, finished products, etc., helping farmers to have more suitable production plans to achieve the highest income.
CHAPTER 2 SUMMARY
In this chapter, the author of the thesis has provided the theoretical basis for the concepts that have been clarified: the concept of Development, craft villages, distinction and characteristics, the role of craft villages. At the same time, the author has provided theories on the Theory of Development, the development of craft villages. Domestic and foreign studies on factors affecting the development of craft villages. Through the theoretical basis and models of previous studies, the author has put forward hypotheses and proposed a research model for the topic.

3.1.1. Qualitative research
Qualitative research to propose research models and build - adjust observed variables. At the same time, qualitative research is the final content of the research paper to summarize policy implications from research results.
To propose a research model, the author performs the following steps:
- Research the theoretical basis of the development of Craft Villages and influencing factors.
- Research and analyze related models, learn about the practices at the Rice Paper Craft Village in Cai Be district, Tien Giang province to build a reasonable proposed model.
- Directly interviewed 6 experts to adjust the model.
To develop the formal questionnaire, the author performed the following steps:
- Based on the characteristics of the Banh Phong craft village in Cai Be district, Tien Giang province and the measurement scale of previous studies, the author designed a preliminary questionnaire.
- Directly interviewed 6 experts to adjust the questionnaire.
- Test the questionnaire on 5 respondents to check the ease of understanding and answering.
- Verify the scale from data of 30 survey forms, make final adjustments; form the official scale.
To propose policy implications, the author draws on the following research results:
- Regression model results: statistically significant variables, magnitude and sign of β coefficients.
- Descriptive statistics of variables.
- Results of analysis of variance (ANOVA).
- Discuss research results: relevance to practice, compared with results of previous studies.
3.1.2. Quantitative research
The qualitative research results are the formal survey questionnaire for the research paper.
After collecting data on the research sample, the author processed it with SPSS 23.0 software including: assessing Cronbach' Alpha reliability, exploratory factor analysis, regression analysis, model testing, testing the difference in the number of different labor participants; different investment capital between groups of business establishments.
3.2. SAMPLE SELECTION AND SURVEY METHOD
3.2.1. Sampling method and representativeness of the overall survey sample
The thesis was conducted with stratified sampling method.
About the overall sample size:
According to Hair et Al (1998), for factor analysis, the best is 5 samples per observed variable. Besides, Tabachnick & Fidel (1996) said that for the best regression analysis, the sample size must be guaranteed according to the formula:
n>= 8m + 50
In which: n: Sample size
m: Number of independent variables of the model. The questionnaire has 23 observed variables and 4 independent variables, then:
The sample size needed for factor research is: 23 x5 = 115 votes
The sample size needed for regression research is: 4 x 8+50 = 82 votes. Thus, the theoretical sample size required is n = 197 votes.
Actual sample size:
The number of survey questionnaires was 195, the number of questionnaires collected was 189, the response rate was 96.92%.
After that, the collected ballots were screened and checked for validity and compliance with the research scope standards. The remaining number of ballots processed was 185 ballots (accounting for 97.88% of the collected sample).
Therefore, the final sample size used for processing is n=185.
On the representativeness of the sample population selected by the analysis method
floor:
Stratified sampling was performed as follows: Cai Be district has 25
Communes/wards and towns, of which Cai Be town and Dong Hoa Hiep commune are selected to concentrate about 90% of households producing rice paper, equivalent to 300 households.
Similarly, stratification by area/hamlet in Cai Be town, Dong Hoa Hiep commune, selected according to the following household ratio:
- Cai Be town selected: Area 1: 41 households and area 4: 83 households
- Dong Hoa Hiep commune selected: An Hiep hamlet 46 households and An Loi hamlet 25 households,
After selecting the area/hamlet, proceed to list households according to the criterion of "number of workers" of the household, applying the sampling formula k = N/n (N: Number of households in the area/hamlet, n: number of selected households in the area/hamlet)

Source: Survey data of the thesis author
Through the table above we see:
Firstly, Cai Be district currently has a total of 327 establishments selling Rice Paper, the survey sample size is 195 establishments. Thus, the total sample accounts for 59.63% of the total population. In terms of the sample being large enough to represent the total population, this is a large enough sample.
Second, regarding stratified sampling according to the labor scale ratio, the overall sample achieved a very high sample structure consistent with the general overall structure.
Third, regarding stratified sampling according to the proportion of labor size, the overall sample achieved a highly appropriate sample structure according to the general overall structure.
In summary, it can be concluded that the collected sample can completely represent the general population of rice paper businesses in Cai Be district, Tien Giang province for statistical analysis.
3.2.2. Survey area, subjects and methods
- The survey was conducted in Cai Be district, Tien Giang province;
- The survey subjects are households producing and trading rice paper;
- The survey method is direct household interview;
