Gender bias in Vietnamese online newspapers Survey of online newspapers Tuoitre.vn, Vnexpress.net, Giadinh.net.vn from January 2014 to December 2016 - 21

through media messages. For example, in family relationships, a wife being better than her husband is the cause of broken happiness; women who are both intelligent and beautiful will have difficulty getting married; adultery or aggressive behavior, sexual harassment are the inherent abilities of men; women are always pitiful, blameworthy in three-way relationships; learning how to please their husbands and take care of the "home" is the mission of women, ... In social relationships, the positions between men and women described on BMĐT are quite different, in which men are still identified in the role of leaders, managers, representatives of the government, businesses, while women often appear in the role of citizens, the public, employees or celebrities (singers, models, actors, MCs, etc.). If a woman appears in a leadership role, she will be described as someone who is "good at both national affairs and housework" ...

+ In terms of form: The way of constructing and reflecting the images of men and women in news on BMĐT is shown through the following factors: Frequency, location of appearance, genre, image, language... The results of quantitative analysis and detailed evidence of qualitative analysis of news content have provided accurate information about the status of gender inequality in the form of news presentation on BMĐT.

Conclusions 3 and 4 prove the second hypothesis: Although the propaganda of gender equality on the Internet has had positive changes in recent years, gender equality still exists in the works of the Internet in both content and form, popularizing and reinforcing gender stereotypes, becoming a barrier to narrowing the gender gap, thereby deepening prejudices and maintaining gender inequality. These conclusions also answer the research question: How is gender equality manifested in the content and form of news articles on the Internet?

5. There are many factors affecting the issue of gender bias on the Internet, in which the most important subjective factor is: The awareness of reporters and journalists still has a sense of gender bias due to the influence of the traditional social environment; They themselves do not have the conditions and need to update their knowledge and skills on gender communication. In addition, the reality of social life still has many manifestations of gender bias, and women themselves are the ones who carry gender bias in their awareness. These are objective reasons that give gender bias a reason to exist in the content of news on the Internet; In addition, the habit of accepting "common sense" that has existed for a long time in the social life of the Internet public has created conditions for reflecting stories that are in line with common sense.

become a habit of BMĐT as well as TTDC in general to attract public attention. DKG therefore has the opportunity to exist, deeply rooted in the news content that sometimes insiders find difficult to recognize.

6. To overcome the gender bias in news content on BMĐT, it is necessary to start from the reality of the gender bias problem, from which there are specific solutions for related organizations and individuals. We must admit that changing perceptions or behaviors that are rooted in traditional cultural factors such as gender bias is not easy and cannot yield good results in a short time. Therefore, the intervention solutions we propose need to be implemented synchronously within a diverse time frame. However, we hope that the first and strong impact on the awareness of journalists and press agencies - the "agents of change", the pioneers in changing public awareness - is an important and necessary task that must be carried out continuously, long-term and simultaneously with the participation of many organizations towards a media environment without gender bias.

7. In addition to making recommendations to journalists, reporters, editors, press agencies, journalism training units, gender-based social organizations and the online news public, we also propose specific and detailed solutions to limit and eventually eliminate gender discrimination in online news in terms of content and form. On that basis, we also boldly propose criteria for building news articles without gender discrimination, paying special attention to principles of reflecting gender in news content; social rules, values and national cultural identity, taking the principle of humanity as the guiding principle, thoroughly eliminating the ideology of male superiority and female inferiority in society and in the online news community, in line with the development trend of the world; Criteria for awareness, capacity, and qualities of journalists when communicating about gender to both meet the needs of the BMĐT audience and avoid gender bias in news content. These solutions and criteria for identifying gender bias in news content can be used as basic principles for journalists and press agencies in the process of exploiting and processing news articles related to gender.

Conclusions 5, 6 and 7 have answered the question: Causes and solutions for the problem of DKG on BMĐT, and at the same time proved the third hypothesis : There are many reasons leading to the persistent existence of DKG in news content, in

The most fundamental reason is that gender bias has existed in the thinking and perception of online journalists - the people who produce news articles, leading to products containing gender bias being published on BMĐT.

8. Within the scope of his/her own capacity and the scope of a thesis, the author of the thesis has made efforts to collect documents, survey, measure, analyze and evaluate the current situation of gender discrimination on the Internet from the perspective of journalism, sociology of journalism and media, and journalistic language. On the basis of building a theoretical foundation, legal foundation and practical foundation for the research problem, the author has examined the current situation of gender discrimination in news content on more than 3,000 news articles of three Internet newspapers over a period of two years (from 2014 to 2016 and supplemented with new documents during the research process) to evaluate the advantages and limitations of media information on gender on the Internet in both content and form of expression. Based on the current situation of gender discrimination on the Internet, the thesis has outlined the issues raised, proposed solutions as well as developed a specific set of criteria to overcome the situation of gender discrimination in news content on the Internet. This is an urgent task in the context that Vietnam is mobilizing maximum resources to commit to the world to effectively implement gender equality work.

9. The work: Gender stereotypes on the Vietnamese E-newspaper has only achieved initial results because there may still be debates and exchanges surrounding the concept, characteristics, and nature of the issue of gender-related media information as well as research objects, research methods, approaches, etc. for the issue of gender stereotypes on the E-newspaper. Therefore, the author hopes that this topic will continue to be researched from other perspectives, approaches, research objectives, research tasks, and research limitations.
