The scent of the countryside is passionate but is "guarded" by the ghost of Nhan Tong. Her wild cat eyes are like a window opening to a primitive soul. The last moment of her life is both similar and different from the reincarnation of Tu Lo - Tu Dao Hanh. Both of them did not enter the realm of death, but one flew high to enter the fairy world, the other hovered in the air waiting to fall into another mortal world. In Ngan La, it was a transcendence, while Tu Dao Hanh, with all his magical powers, was just a normal escape. The soul of the crab-catching girl - Ngan La belongs to the pure land, while Tu Lo tied her own soul to escape from the world. Her life and death make us think of elegant things. She is like a Jade Maiden in heaven who was punished and exiled to the mortal world, and when her sentence was up, she returned to the sacred place to live with Tien Dong of serenity and purity. Da Nhan - Tu Lo's life-saver, is a legend of boundless forgiveness. It is a character that has not yet become human. The savage only has “ dark nipples and a hairy chest, bushy arms covered with red hair… Big round eyes of a reddish brown color, no eyebrows, a flat nose close to the flat hairy mouth of the savage” [15, pp. 358-359] . That deformity became a legend, because it carries within it a noble, kind-hearted, sacrificial humanity, it milks Tu Lo like a mother raising her child. Human imagination is boundless, but it always tells us a little about reality. And the last reality that we receive is the human desire for love, in the writer Vo Thi Hao. She helped us feel the pain of the world through characters as holy as angels.
Writing about historical topics, Vo Thi Hao chose a special type of character: a character tormented by the desire for power and fame. Faced with the situation of human degeneration, being dragged into cruel acts by desires, cold and indifferent calculations make people increasingly depleted of humanity,
The author did not hesitate to "resort" to the voice of the spirit, the acts of revenge, revenge or strange apparitions are stern warnings. Vo Thi Hao used the art of mythologizing, using the magical, using dreams and fantasies, broken and flickering memories to express the imbalanced state of human beings, extinguishing the halo of famous figures like Y Lan,... at the same time highlighting the absurd, disappointing state of a reality that is not as we wish, the "imitating" of the barbaric practice of burning people alive by King Qin Thuy Hoang, Nguyen Phi Y Lan incited King Ly Nhan Tong to imprison Queen Mother Duong and seventy-six palace maids in Thuong Duong palace and then forced them to commit suicide... This cruel act caused the rest of Queen Mother Y Lan's life to always live in terrible dreams, haunted by ghosts appearing to question, demand her life, giant rats biting, mental instability... It was like the questioning, tormenting, and tormenting of conscience awakening in people. Those obsessions clearly have the effect of alerting people to bad and evil things because they refract premonitions, desires, vague or burning desires... in a certain way. It belongs to the unconscious, the superconscious, beyond human reason. Even though she is cold, cruel, and extremely powerful, the dark circle in Y Lan's soul also makes her afraid and repentant. She has to try to do good all her life, but in fact, it is only to cover up her criminal acts, to repent, and to have a clear conscience. The legend is the edge of the "dark side" of the soul, Empress Dowager Y Lan turns out to be a human being with all the usual and fierce complications and consequences.

C. CONCLUSION

After examining female characters in Vo Thi Hao's works, the thesis comes to the following conclusions.
1. The image of women is a familiar, consistent image and an endless source of inspiration that literature has never fully exploited. Corresponding to each historical period is each literary period, and in each different period, literature exploits the topic of women differently. But never before have readers witnessed on the literary forum the bustling and impressive appearance of female writers like in recent years, which has brought a new look to national literature. Only in the past few decades have readers enjoyed many new voices with different styles of female writers. Experienced like Le Minh Khue, sharp like Pham Thi Hoai, delicate like Phan Thi Vang Anh, gentle like Nguyen Thi Thu Hue, soulful and rich in cultural colors like Nguyen Ngoc Tu... But among contemporary female writers, Vo Thi Hao appears as an outstanding representative, rich in personality. Reading her works, readers can easily see that besides the anguish about war, the tragic lives and the endless pain of the unfortunate people are always present in each work. At the same time, there is also the sympathy and torment of a woman's heart when talking about the pain of homosexuals.
2. In the 20th century, humanity witnessed the vigorous movements for women's rights in many countries around the world, to speak up for equal rights as well as for women's rights. In Vietnam, along with the process of exchange and integration in the early 90s of the 20th century, gender perspectives were quickly introduced and spread, along with it was a rapid change in the concepts, attitudes, behaviors of society and the practice of creating gender equality in all areas of Vietnamese society during the renovation period. Women's issues
Rights have become a socio-cultural phenomenon of modern times. And feminism - the awareness of women's happiness is affirmed. In Vo Thi Hao's works, feminism is clearly expressed in the fierce struggle to maintain love, equality in feelings and affirm one's gender. The female characters in her works are sometimes very gentle and kind, sometimes very naive and crazy, but when necessary, they are also fierce and tough, but then their lives are still full of misfortune. They are the embodiment of tragic fates: the tragedy of being victims of war, the tragedy of poverty, the tragedy of disabled lives, the tragedy of love and happiness of couples... In Vo Thi Hao's works, there are many women with good moral qualities, they love and live their lives to the fullest for the desire for happiness, the desire to reach better things in life, but it is also those desires that push them to tragedies in life when it is just a dream that cannot be realized.
Writing about the gender issue of female characters in her works, Vo Thi Hao mentioned the instinctive human, the gender issue, the characters who dare to live true to their desires. The writer expressed respect and praise for the desire for true love to be pushed to the end of the harmony between body and soul and considered it the most sacred and noble thing.
3. To successfully create female characters in her works, writer Vo Thi Hao combined the use of many artistic techniques, focusing on the art of describing physical appearance, the art of describing character psychology, and the art of creating legendary colors, in order to vividly and clearly depict the life, personality, and fate of the character.
4. Characters are the offspring of writers, especially for female writers, female characters are the place for them to express their thoughts, feelings, and concepts about their gender. Through female characters in Vo Thi Hao's works, we have
a deeper look at women, a better understanding of the world and more admiration and trust in the writer. Her experiences on each page are imbued with thoughts and anxieties that are not hers alone. Vo Thi Hao and her characters are not beside us but inside each of us.
