MUSEUM ACTIVITY PLAN


- Pursuant to Decision No. 223/QD-UBND dated February 4, 2013 of the Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee on granting operating licenses to non-public museums

- Based on the requirements for consolidating and developing the museum in the future, the Owner and Director of the museum develop the operational plan of the Dong Que museum as follows:

1. Long-term plan (10 – 20 years):

- Regarding facilities: build and expand the experience area for visitors. The museum will cooperate with a number of individuals and groups to rent out the rice fields in the village that people are leaving unused to develop organic and clean agriculture. This is also the source of food for home-cooked meals and products being made at the museum. In addition, the museum will develop programs for visitors to experience the work of farmers in the Northern Delta in the past.

- Human resources: Continue to attract qualified personnel to work at the museum. Plan to increase salaries and welfare funds for the museum to improve the lives of museum staff.

- Training: Participate in professional training courses to improve the qualifications of museum staff.

- Linking with tourism companies, cultural institutions such as provincial museums, local tourist attractions such as Quat Lam beach, mangrove forests... to create a tourism chain in Giao Thuy.

- Develop museum products: wine, gai cake, agricultural products... to become the museum's own brand, raise the provincial level and become known to many people.

2. Medium-term plan (3-5 years):

- Continue the museum's professional work: collect and add artifacts to enrich the museum, inventory and preserve artifacts currently kept and displayed. Collect more local intangible cultural heritage such as: local dishes, local cuisine to create local gifts for visitors.


5.3. Operational plan of the Countryside Museum


- Advanced professional training for owners, directors and employees

- Improve the quality of services for visitors, create more experiential activities, connect and promote local tourism

- Increase production, enhance products to generate revenue for the museum and raise salaries for museum staff.

- Applying information technology and digital technology in museum activities to attract visitors and contribute to better museum management.

- Develop museum promotion through social media and other communication activities

3. Short-term (annual) plan

- Study to improve professional qualifications, participate in annual training courses and workshops organized by the Department of Cultural Heritage as well as cooperate with other museums to develop museum expertise.

- Facilities: build a 4-room tiled peasant house, renovate and repair damaged or degraded houses every year

- Implement experiential activities for guests in small groups: cooking rustic rice, preparing feasts, making vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings...

- Continue professional activities: collecting, inventorying, and preserving museum artifacts.

- Improve the quality of tour guidance, tours and experiences for guests.

- Improve service quality, connect local tourism, promote tourism with other regions.

- Research, expand and improve the quality of the museum's existing products.

- Develop rice products related to local agricultural strengths
