The author has proposed solutions to improve the quality of teaching Marxist-Leninist subjects to build new personalities for students, socialist personalities.
Referring to the role of education in the formation and development of student personality, author Hoang Anh in the book " Education with the formation and development of student personality " [3] presented general theoretical issues on personality and student personality. The author focused on analyzing the current state of Vietnamese student ethics and the issue of ethical education for students in universities and colleges to form and develop student personality.
Referring to the life values of students in the conditions of market economy and integration, author Pham Huy Thanh in the article "Conception of life values of Vietnamese students in the conditions of market economy" [120] focuses on clarifying the impact of market economy on students' lives in negative and positive aspects. Life values are conceived by students: meaning of life, conditions for success, relationships with friends, teachers and students and people around. From there, the author proposes four solutions to promote positive aspects and limit negative aspects due to the impact of market mechanism on students' lives today.
In addition to some of the above works, related to the issue of personality, there is also the book " Socialism and Personality " [4] which deals with the issue of personality in socialism, originating from the relationship between economics, politics, law, spirit, ethics, and aesthetics. On the other hand, the book has paid attention to issues of the starting point of Marxism-Leninism on personality such as: the nature of personality, the mechanism of determining the spiritual world and the activities of personality.

In short, the issue of personality, the formation and development of personality in our country has been studied by many authors from many different perspectives, aiming to build and develop human resources to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization of the country. The works mention the concept of personality, the process of formation and development of personality, personality structure; the role of personality.

of education in the development of Vietnamese human personality in general and students in particular. The approach of the above scientific works often exploits the concept of personality, personality structure and the process of personality formation and development; personality structure including talent and virtue is a consistent issue that is clearly analyzed in the educational process to form and develop personality. There has been no work that studies personality from a specific perspective, for example, studying the role of traditional moral value education in the development of human personality in the Central Highlands in general and students in particular. Therefore, this is a new research direction of the thesis, clarifying the role of traditional moral value education in the formation and development of personality of students in the Central Highlands region. At the same time, the thesis inherits the concepts of personality, personality structure and the implementation of personality structure in the education of traditional moral values for students in the Central Highlands region.

1.2.1. Research works related to globalization and characteristics of globalization
The issue of globalization is an issue that has attracted the attention of scholars at home and abroad. Based on the objectives and tasks of the thesis, the author refers to the following works that are directly related to the topic.
The authors S.Xmit and G.Bayler in the book “Globalization of World Politics” [146] mentioned that in the current period there are three different types of concepts about globalization. Realists and neo-realists believe that globalization does not change the division of the world into nation-states. The increasing interconnectedness between economies and societies may make them more interdependent, while nations still retain their sovereignty. Meanwhile, liberals and neo-liberals tend to consider globalization as changing
16
The realists' assessment is fundamentally flawed, because nations are no longer at the center. They believe that globalization signals the rise of a new global order and the end of the system of nations. World system theorists believe that globalization is just an external phenomenon, it has nothing new, it is simply the final stage of development of international capitalism.
The authors Ho Ba Tham and Nguyen Ngoc Diem in the book "Globalization and sustainable development from a contemporary philosophical perspective" [124] have highlighted the content and inevitable trend of globalization from a philosophical perspective. The scientific work published in the book includes 6 main topics with relatively independent content, but mostly mentions the impact of globalization on economic - political - cultural - social issues. Introduction: Some contemporary philosophical issues from the practice of globalization, innovation, integration and future national development; Part 1: General issues about the era and the relationship between globalization, integration and development in the world and Vietnam; Part 2: Globalization and human evolution today; Part 3: Science and technology in developing countries in the context of current globalization; Part 4: Integration and sustainable development; Part 5: Vietnamese people and culture with integration and sustainable development in the context of globalization; conclusion: Know yourself, know others, integrate successfully, progress with the times, develop sustainably - a philosophy of the globalization era.
The issues raised in the book have theoretical and practical significance, meeting the urgent needs of developing countries, including our country, in choosing their own direction in the current globalization trend. The authors' research results contribute to opening up a more complete understanding of the dialectic in the current globalization process and its impact on integration and progressive development in developing countries. That has special significance for Vietnam in the process of deep integration into the global economy.
17
International integration is a fundamental method, an inevitable process, a strong driving force for innovation and development, shortening the gap in economic, scientific - technological, cultural - social development, and in the immediate future, turning our country into an industrialized country by 2020.
The book “Globalization in the context of Asia - Pacific - some philosophical issues” [53] has provided a fairly comprehensive view of globalization from a philosophical perspective. Of the 24 articles (including 10 articles by foreign scholars), nearly 20 articles are directly related to globalization. Basically, the authors believe that: knowing how to accept different attitudes, support or opposition, globalization is still an inevitable, objective trend and is strongly affecting all national states, both in developed and developing countries.
Regarding the characteristics of globalization, the authors believe that current globalization has some differences compared to previous globalization stages. It is the trend of cooperation for coexistence and development, instead of confrontation; the increasingly profound impact on all countries, ethnicities and all aspects of modern social life; the opening up of opportunities and conditions for development, while also posing economic, social and cultural challenges. The analysis of globalization as well as its characteristics in this book is a valuable reference material for the author to inherit to a certain extent during the process of implementing the thesis.
Referring to the theoretical and practical issues of the globalization process, in the book "Globalization - theoretical and practical issues" , the authors Le Huu Nghia and Le Ngoc Tong [111] affirmed that globalization is an inevitable trend affecting national states. The authors focused on analyzing the opportunities and challenges of globalization on the theoretical and practical levels, clarifying the reasons for the success and failure of the integration process in our country in the past. Continuing to clarify the issue of globalization in the coming decades, the authors of the book " Globalization trends in the first two decades of the 21st century" [111] conducted in-depth research on globalization and
18
its impact on all aspects of life. The authors argue that the globalization process is an objective necessity based on the historical materialist methodology, mentioned by Marx and Engels in 1848 in the work: Manifesto of the Communist Party . The impact of globalization is expressed in two aspects: positive and negative, any country or nation participating in the globalization process must accept this impact. The authors in this book affirm that globalization, in essence, is a process of strongly increasing the connections, influences, mutual impacts, and mutual dependence of all regions, countries, and nations in the world.
With the same approach to historical materialism methodology, the book "Globalization - Methodology and Research Approach" [15] has clarified the approaches to globalization but emphasized the approach from the Marxist-Leninist perspective. With a scientific and dialectical approach, the authors have deeply studied and clarified the nature of the current global process. Assessing the impact of globalization on economic, political, cultural and social life in the world as well as in the country; gradually pointing out a reasonable approach to solve problems caused by the impact of globalization.
Economic globalization and international economic integration are extremely broad issues that Vietnam does not have much experience with. Ngo Van Diem in the book “Globalization and international economic integration of Vietnam” [39] has analyzed in depth the process of our country participating in economic globalization and international economic integration. The book has mentioned three of the areas in which Vietnam has achieved significant achievements in the process of economic integration in recent times, namely: attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), trade and arrangement, innovation, development and improvement of the efficiency of state-owned enterprises.
Thus, globalization has had very different concepts, but all the works mentioned above, we see mainly economic globalization. There are also many researchers who believe that globalization is taking place.
19
in the fields of economics, politics, military and natural environment... The problem is that the nature of globalization is economic globalization which occupies a central position. The globalization issues of culture, natural environment... also arise from economic globalization. Therefore, it can be said that globalization today is mainly economic globalization, with its profound impacts on aspects of social life such as military, politics, culture, environment... of the world on a global scale. Globalization's impact on a specific region is mentioned by very few research works, especially the Central Highlands. This can be said to be a new issue that the thesis needs to study in depth, especially the impact of globalization on changing traditional ethical values in building the personality of students in the Central Highlands region.
1.2.2. Research works on the impact of globalization on the ethics and personality of Vietnamese people in general and students in particular
Globalization is a trend of our time, it has a profound impact on many different areas of social life, so there are many scientific works at home and abroad related to this issue. Here, the author of the thesis would like to mention some works related to the impact of globalization on the ethics and personality of Vietnamese people in general, and Vietnamese students in particular.
Author Nguyen Trong Chuan in the article "International integration: opportunities and challenges for traditional values in the context of globalization" [21] stated that the world has gone through three times of globalization, the current globalization process is different from the previous times in that it takes place in all areas of social life and it has become an inevitable trend. From there, the author pointed out that in the context of globalization, traditional cultural values have both opportunities for high development but also contain risks of erosion. Also in the direction of researching the impact of globalization on traditional values, author Nguyen Dinh Tuong has an article "Preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in Vietnam under the impact of globalization" [134]. According to the author, globalization is
20
objective process, that process on the one hand creates opportunities for nations to expand cooperation and exchange, on the other hand it also puts the traditional cultural values of each nation in front of many challenges. Therefore, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of the nation so that culture becomes the spiritual foundation of society has been and is an urgent requirement today.
Author Cao Thu Hang in the article “Traditional moral values and moral requirements for the personality of Vietnamese people today” [67] has highlighted the role of traditional moral values and moral requirements for the formation of the personality of Vietnamese people today. However, the author has not mentioned the measures to inherit traditional national moral values in building Vietnamese people today.
One of the works that deals relatively comprehensively with the impact of globalization on different areas of social life, especially the cultural and spiritual fields, is the book “Traditional values in the face of the challenges of globalization” [19]. The book consists of two parts, in the first part the authors focus on clarifying the essence of globalization but from a philosophical and value-learning perspective. In addition, the authors also analyze in depth the content and essence of traditional values and Vietnamese traditional values, including traditional ethical values; pointing out the opportunities and challenges of globalization in preserving and promoting traditional values.
In the second part, the authors discuss the current status of Vietnamese traditional values in the face of the current globalization trend, proposing solutions to preserve and promote Vietnamese traditional values in the face of the challenges of globalization. Many conclusions drawn by the authors in this scientific work serve as very necessary reference materials for graduate students in the process of writing their thesis. The subject and scope of the impact of globalization mentioned in the book are quite broad. Among the 28 articles published in this work, only the article "Some thoughts on preserving and promoting traditional ethical values in Vietnam today" by author Nguyen Dinh Tuong is related to
21
directly to the thesis topic of the doctoral student. However, in that article, author Nguyen Dinh Tuong also did not mention the Central Highlands - the area that the thesis author chose to survey.
Discussing the role of education in the formation of creative personality, author Vu Minh Tam in the article "Creative personality education and sustainable development in the era of globalization" [118] mentioned creative personality education and the factors of creative personality: knowledge capital, practical activities, social qualities and ideals. From there, the author discussed the process of forming creative personality due to the factors: autonomy, self-awareness and self-awareness. On that basis, the author of the article proposed solutions to create a dynamic and creative young generation suitable for the requirements of human resource development in the current context of globalization.
Author Vo Minh Tuan in the article “The impact of globalization on the ethics of Vietnamese students today” [132] mentioned the positive and negative impacts of globalization on the lives of Vietnamese students today. The positive aspects that globalization brings, according to the author, are promoting the spirit of dynamism, creativity, and self-responsibility; the negative aspects are a pragmatic lifestyle and an indifferent attitude towards people around them. However, the author of the article has not yet proposed solutions to promote the positive aspects and limit the negative aspects in the ethical life of students. Author Pham Huy Thanh in the article “Ethics of Vietnamese students in the context of globalization today” [121] focused on clarifying the current state of ethics of Vietnamese students in the context of globalization today. According to the author, besides the advantages and positive aspects, it is necessary to affirm that in the moral life of Vietnamese students today, there are also many shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome so that they can truly become intellectuals in the future.
Thus, the impact of globalization on the personality of Vietnamese people has been mentioned by many scientists, creating diversity and richness in the approach to problems and problem solving. On the other hand, it also shows us the complexity of globalization's impact on personality and ethics.
