INTRODUCTION
1. Urgency of the topic
In the context of current international economic integration, Vietnam is making efforts to expand relations in all aspects with friends from all over the world to strengthen its position in the international arena. Consistently implementing the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, Vietnam is increasingly expanding its foreign policy of multilateralization, diversification of international relations, and actively integrating into the international economy. Vietnam is a friend and reliable partner of countries in the international community, actively participating in the process of international and regional cooperation.
Since 1986, Vietnam has implemented an open-door policy, abolished subsidies and gradually shifted to a multi-sector economy under a market mechanism under state management. Therefore, the economy has gradually escaped the crisis and achieved many important achievements. Foreign economic relations have also developed increasingly strongly since then. Vietnam's international relations have been established, are going deep, stable and sustainable. Vietnam develops relations with all countries, territories in the world and international organizations according to the following principles: respect for independence, sovereignty, non-interference in each other's internal affairs; resolving disagreements and disputes through peaceful negotiations; mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is the largest and richest organization in the Middle East, established on May 25, 1981. The GCC has 6 member countries including: Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (AUE). This is a labor-importing region and rich in oil resources, accounting for 50% of the world's oil reserves.
world. Therefore, the GCC is increasingly playing a dominant role in the world oil market.
The relationship between Vietnam and the countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council was first established on January 10, 1976 in the relationship between Vietnam and Kuwait. Vietnam and the countries in the GCC region have many similarities because they are all developing countries with conditions for complementary cooperation in economy, labor, natural resources, etc. This is the premise to accelerate the relationship for the benefit of each side. However, this relationship is still not commensurate with the economic, political and diplomatic potential of each side. Economic cooperation is still mainly trade cooperation, other areas of economic cooperation are very limited. In recent years, the Vietnamese government and the governments of the GCC countries have had many mutual visits, opening up many opportunities for economic cooperation between the two sides, enhancing trade cooperation and some other areas. Currently, the economic cooperation between Vietnam and the GCC countries is mainly trade cooperation. Therefore, the study of trade cooperation between Vietnam and the Gulf Cooperation Council in general and trade relations between Vietnam and key countries in this region is very necessary and has high practical significance for the benefit of each side. Therefore, I decided to choose the topic: "Trade cooperation between Vietnam and some countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council" as the topic of my master's thesis.
2. Research situation
Trade cooperation between Vietnam and countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council in recent years has increased significantly, including import-export structure and commodity structure. However, this cooperation is still not much, so domestic and foreign research projects on the relationship
